If these are issues, I can only think of the possible reasons why Americans no longer trust their government. That women can't throw knives? Nonsense. Not all knife throwing is done overhand like a baseball. Underhand and sidearm as just as effective.
I like the idea that a woman knows how to and wants to protect herself with deadly force. Every woman should conceal carry and be allowed wide berth in using deadly force to protect against sexual or any other type of assault. Men who attack women are the worst kind of cowards and bullies.
My wife will only use a taser or pepper spray and only reluctantly. I love her deeply but worry for her personal safety. Unlike my wife, I'm not a pacifist.
I'm only joking with ginger. I'm very married. But good for her in learning an usual skill. And I'm curious as to why you think she's a man.

I was talking about language, not about God. The FCC, not God, was the author of the language you can't say on TV. I suspect the creator of the universe is not a thin-skinned prude. I dated plenty of women who were far more offended by war than they were about street language describing bodily functions. I raised my daughters to have more respect for George Carlin, and their grandfather, than any puritan blue-noses. They turned out pretty well.......and liberal.

I was taught overhand and underhand by smeone who would throw hours each day. In close quarters, underhand is actually more effective, quicker and more likely to surprise an opponent. Few can master it because it takes lots of practice. I never did, but I could at least hit a target a 10 foot. It's like throwing a softball wind-mill style.
I knife fighting, throwing is a wild card. Better to keep the knife close, elbow close and come from underneath. In and pull up-that's the way the military teaches it. Never bring the knife above the shoulder-a cardinal rule of self-defense with a knife.
