yes California leads in the number of people living in poverty, California has the most people and by far the most Latino & Latina farm workers and their children. 750,000 of them the majority of which worke for minimum wage usually piece work. The demand for highly skilled workers has driven the cost of housing through the roof and low wage workers in to the street or living in RV's business are not leaving San Francisco businesses from Asia are moving into The City to be close to the action. upscale workers from Silicon Valley make their homes in the city to be close to the world class restaurants, the theators, and other amentities and their employers , Appel, Google, Face Book, ect buss then down the penensula to the valley to work, The economy in all nine counties of the bay area has been booming since 2010. The working poor have to move to the valley to find affordale housing as San Fran, Oakland and Santa Clara Valley gentrify and that drives housing cost up for the locals in the San Joaqin valley

I've never seen any one defecating in the street. I've seen the Columbus day parade, the Blue Angles, the Americas cup race, plays such as Evita, Wicked, and sugar babes, pro baseball and football games ect. never seen any one defecate all over the place on anywhere in the city. So far you Liberals have innovated an ever widening gap between the haves and have nots, and since you can't blame it on Conservatives you simply ignore it. You have begun the practice of turning wetback criminals loose to murder American citizens, and then turning them loose again for "time served." You are the birthplace of the AIDS epidemic. You have innovated letting non-citizens vote, and obtain all sorts of services that are intended for US citizens. You have innovated so many stifling regulations that dozens of businesses leave Mexifornia every month for anywhere else.

You have innovated the second highest cost of living in the CONUS, edging out New York, but New York doesn't have as high a percentage of people in poverty.
