I love Fall and then snow of winter.. Right on schedule for here and as I sit here with the fireplace raging, the crackling wood with ambers dancing about I understand why I so enjoy it..

Steamed french vanilla coffee latte doesn't hurt either..

We caught the aspens in the high country at their most spectacular reds, orange, gold, and bright yellows. Glorious at 7500 ft.
And to think 3 weeks ago when we were at Londolozi Game Preserve in South Africa, spring was in the air.

Londolozi was beyond amazing. 2 game drives daily--morning and late afternoon. It was like every Nature program on PBS, following elepnants, leopards, lions, giraffes, all manor of antelopes, hippos, etc. Watched a leopard take down an impala, and 3 lions feasting on a kudu they'd taken at night. Our suite was burglarized by baboons while we were away, but they only took all the sugar packets by our coffee bar. Too bad Londolozi is 28-32 hours flying time away. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

All sounds very quaint.. As you described your adventure I was visualizing what I have seen on the history channel or PBS..Pretty cool!!! What are game drives?? Is that for exploring the wild life of the land?? I envy you as I would love to see it...

Did you have to take any special type shots to protect you from potential illness.?? If you don’t mind me asking??

No special shots since we had Hep A shots before we went to Tibet last spring.

The people were absolutely super and the food was fabulous. Fine wines & spirits were free because everything was paid for in advance. It cost was all inclusive as the nearest town (Skukuza) was a couple hours away through the Bush.
