Does the CDC break those numbers down by category or simply issue a number? No need to answer. I know the answer; however, unlikely you do.
So your basic answer is the Surgeon General has to have no background except on gun issues. Heck, why bother having someone who has actually practiced medicine and has ANY knowledge on medical practice, health care, patient protocols, hospital practices, pharmaceutical practices or those pesky issues.
