My reflection of people's opinion usually results with being lobbed with shit from pointless websites that claim that they provide the only news.

My father provides the same information with absolutely no idea that such news is as valuable as a UFO sighting or Bigfoot.

I have personal experience. And I can name, names. Instead, I get to hear from some clown that talked to there sister's, cousin's brother-in-law about facts. There are ways to study facts, like being there and understanding them.

As a for instance, my parents totally buy into the notion that marijuana usage leads to harder drugs. If that were true (regardless of the dangers of using heroin) wouldn't the numbers of people using Marijuana either be equal to the number of heroin users or less the number of users? And yet it isn't: Marijuana users outweigh heroin users by 50 to 1. And yet, that doesn't matter because I'm getting that information from the government that we don't agree with. Hmmm, the CDC has nothing to hide and this information goes back 30 years, through many different administrations. And yet, we are to believe that all of sudden the last 6 years of data is wrong.

People deposit misinformation without really understanding who gets affected by that...and what do we get in return: retribution from the masses. Isn't it ridiculous that if you go to vote that you aren't expected to provide identification? Isn't that a more important issue than welfare, which in addition to SSA benefits are paid for out of the tax collection. I don't want to get into an argument, but there are all kinds of reasons that people find themselves needy and I see it every day because I work for a variety of charity organizations.
If I sound condescending: it is because I do know what I'm talking about. I don't listen to a 5th party acquaintance that has watered down the facts the way they "see" them. People believe what they want to believe based on racism, and one bad experience they had in their childhood. Or fears created by society. Take Trayvon Martin, whether he's guilty of anything, he's dead and his murder (yes, murder) is being justified by a law written to protect gun ownership. Who benefits from that? Gun makers: right? I believe that Trayvon was let down by society and he was waiting for an opportunity to proceed into a criminal career-no argument there. If you dig a little further a lot of adults let him down. He was lashing out the only way he knew and we become so polarized as a society we can't even look at the facts, because apparently those fact are too ugly.
I'm afraid you suffer the same fateful defect. br... (show quote)

You sound condescending because you are and you don't know what your talking about.

Trayvon Martin died because he attacked someone that had what he needed to defend himself.

The moral of the story is:

If you don't wish to get shot, shoving someone to the ground, so you can jump on them and pound their head into the pavement,

THEN:

1. DON'T shove people to the ground and
2. DON'T jump on them and pound their head into the pavement.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

The modern liberal is a communist.
Most of them are too stupid to understand that, but, to save America is to promote liberty. This is contrary to the communists(Democrats) agenda.

You do realize that you giving this post this many thumbs up after your pretty speech, does appear very hypocritical, because of the blatant contradiction, just to be clear.

I was not giving myself a thumbs up. I was agreeing with another poster. I will make sure I write something like.... great post Homestead and then do the thumbs up. Will that be clearer for you?

Ginny, you just got done writing about how everyone brings something to the table, and how you don't judge people, etc... it was very commendable, but on the very next page you gave a bunch of thumbs up to Homestead, calling liberals communists(assuming liberal is anyone left of center)and stupid...??? hence my comment to you. How do you really feel?, because one attitude contradicts the other, I'm hoping it was the first, I'm with you on that.

Nothing inconsistent. Modern liberals do follow the communist dogma. Also his statement of "So saving America is a partisan issue.

You just need to decide whether your going to fight those that oppose freedom or give up and let them take it." Is something that I agree with. You have to make a choice, either you want your freedoms that are being slowly stripped from us or you simply give up. I want my freedoms of choice. I want to be able to know that my constitution is still central in our government. I do not want to be United States Socialist Republic. Do you?

When someone writes the truth, why wouldn't that person get a thumbs up?

Glen Beck did a whole series on communism in America.
This is the first one.
They're posted on You Tube.
Watch the first and then click on the second.

Just because you hold on to your ignorance, like a miser holds on to his gold, does not change reality. Your refusal to know or understand the truth does not make it go away.

Recorded history is reality which is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The fact that you don't like it it does not change facts into an attitude.

Dear mr dummyboy. your name fits you if you honestly believe Democrats are Communists. That is as rediculous as saying Republicans don't believe in God

I do not agree. I suspect that you have not read any of the books regarding the philosophies of communism nor many on the progressive movements, if you have a chance, I highly recommend that you do. It will be an eye opener. Many of the "changes" are directly from a belief that government is much more capable of ensuring the population is maintained in a standard.

This is rather long, but it is a start:
http://marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/ch01.htm

Once you finish that, then read:
Highlights of a Fighting History: 60 Years of the Communist Party, USA
Philip Abraham Bart
Blacks and Reds: Race and Class in Conflict, 1919-1990
Earl Ofari Hutchinson.
Michigan State University Press, 1995
The Romance of American Communism
Vivian Gornick.
Basic Books, 1977
Nazis, Communists, Klansmen, and Others on the Fringe: Political Extremism in America
John George; Laird Wilcox.
Prometheus Books, 1992
The Red Menace, Revisited
Contributors: Bernstein, David E.
Publication: Northwestern University Law Review, Vol. 100, No. 3, Spring 2006

Once you finish this list, let me know and I will provide you with a secondary reading list.

Where you and I differ is I don't go to youtube for information or truth. This is a perfect example of the general offenses to a mass population, which would be all from center to left.

Are you telling me that the only friends and family you associate with is of your exact party? All the people from your church are all the same? Do you treat them in the same manner.

I don't have all my friends, family and acquaintances of the same party. They are all different. Most of my family are republicans, as I was. I don't call them slanderous names or even simple words as stupid, and especially a communists/fascist or anything else politically offensive in that anti American demeanor. It is insulting and untrue. I focus on who they are and our similarities. They have different political views and that is all.

I only start to push back when I feel that offense is directed to me. When you general these insults to all not in your party, you insult many without a just cause.
Than on top you personally attack me calling me ignorant. You are just as guilty as holding onto your reality as I hold onto mine.

I do not view my fellow regular American citizens as the enemy as you do. I am sorry that you believe the lies that you have come to believe and has led you to turn your back on other Americans.
I am not a communists and I don't know any, that is your reality. That is how they get you to hate.

First off, it's not dummyboy, it's homestead, the least you could do is learn how the site your using works.

Since you can't even pay attention to who your replying to or learn how this site works, I have very little faith in your ability to learn history.

Never-the-less, I will try to give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge.

Joseph Stalin used to call people who supported him, useful idiots. Because, they didn't understand what they were supporting.

But, if you support communists and communist agendas, then you are a communist. Your ignorance of what your doing doesn't change that, it just makes you a useful idiot.

Thats a long list to read up on. But I stand by my statement. The Democrat is about civil rights even rights Republicans want to take away or not give. Freedom is what Democrats are about. Now when it comes to security for the population it seems there are folks that call that communism.. Starving people is what Communists do. Go to North Korea.. I am not a Democrat but I do have a slant toward them . I make no appologys and I will stick up for Republicans who have their heart in the right place. Mean people with a cold hearted political agenda suck and they are communists.

The list is not so long, I read them in about 4 days.

I do not ask you to apologize for your beliefs, I ask that you enhance your knowledge base. Once you have read books, watched changes in DC, and talked to people who know a little more than you might know now; then take a firm stand. Dig you heels in and do not budge. Regardless of which direction you decide, this is your country as well as mine. Many people to include my husband and I went into the military prepared to give the ultimate sacrifice so that you have a right to chose, to have freedoms that are not found elsewhere. Read, study, consider both sides for yourself. Do not let the news media or your friends take that away from you.

Most of my friends are Republicans because I live in Republican country. so I hear their stuff all the time. I watch news a couple times a week. Usually MSNBC. My wife throws a fit if I watch Fox. They seem stuck up toward any body other than Republicans any way. No friends there for me. I read town hall daily and Newsmax which are the right wing. I formed my own opinion long ago I don't get a lot of time to read If I am not at work my wife has lots of orders for me but mainly she just needs help with the baby. It is a full time job having a family.
