One has to have an open mind if they ever wish to find the truth.

On the issues we see to day it is the right that seeks to shut down the search for truth the most.

Come on now we both know you know better than to say that.
You only compromise your credibility when you take that tact.

I have been on this old earth for a good number of years and I don't compromise my credibility one bit as the democrats are one sleazy group of people they have lost all civility and that happened some time back and they have not regained it as of yet. I live not to far fro Chicago and I see first hand the political games you democrats play.

It is not one self that can rate their own credibility.
That falls to how some one else views it.

Today most items on display of how political games are played is uncovering things.
Things that the right has been doing that in the past where just ignored or covered up.

As an individual I have been in the forefront on this site in pointing out the games being played by political parties.
In your post you included me in the playing of those games.

On this site there are some that can be said to have liberal out looks on issues.
There are those on this site who are not active in advancing the political party view on issues.
I for one have reminded others that my views are my views & that I post them as my views only.

I try to accept what most have to say as their personal views. If fact I request others to do just that.
Because I see that there is a strong need for us to have a reasonable understanding of what we stand for.

There is room for much disagreement between us. As well here should be.
There is less room for disagreement shown from the rights side on issues.
This I feel comes from a sense of a build in entitlement from the right side.

At times I ask my self why I stay & try to put across my views.
I do not seek changes that would help me personally.
I do but things down that would help many. & in that vein help me.

I want to view you as an individual.
You seem to prefer to still make it all a political party issue.

The gains to be made on human relations are only truly gained in bring understanding between diverent views.

There can not be an agreement on issues between an Individual & a political party.
While I started this post as a reply to you my greater thought is to those that may just read it with out reply.

Are you serious? This man had to sit there and listen to 3 hours of FALSE testimony, given by someone he doesn't even KNOW, about something he never DID. I'd be madder than hell, and I'd be in tears, too. Tears come right before I throw something, on my anger scale. Hell's bells, I was practically in tears, just watching him! But I'll tell ya something.... I didn't feel anything while Ford was testifying, except anger. She was lying out her ass, and that trembling voice? Yeah, I can make mine sound like that, EXACTLY like that, any time I want to.

I saw some clips of sections the media isn't covering, and I know FOX isn't.

He was close to crying, perhaps sobbing during statements that make no sense whatsoever for him to be so emotional, except that he was in the emotional part of his windup.

He said he had lots of girl friends, spent lots of time talking on the phone to lots of girls, he started naming girls who were friends. As he did so he kept getting more and more close to crying, his mouth was quivering, he was close to sobbing. Why was talking about the girls he knew as friends such an emotional thing? It was like all of these girls who were friends all died in a tragic accident or were murdered.

Then he was talking about going to a friend's house to lift weights, again, his mouth was quivering, he was having a difficult time keeping from breaking down. What the hell is it about lifting weights with a friend that was so terribly tragic that he almost started sobbing?

It was weird, hard to explain what was going on there, this guy is far too emotional and unstable to be on the supreme court, there are hard tough women on that bench that would eat him alive.
I saw some clips of sections the media isn't cover... (show quote)

What the hell would you know about what it takes to be a SCOTUS justice? You don't give a flying fk about the American system of justice, or the law. Your inability to see beyond the superficial or interpret deeper meanings is appalling. You have proven time after time that you are an extremely narrow minded individual and a very shallow thinker. I swear, your assessment of Kavanaugh's emotions is so prejudiced, fractured, non-contextual and insipid that even a third rate shrink would classify you as emotionally frigid.

The only emotion you seem to have any experience with is hate. If your mother were raped right in front of you, you wouldn't bat an eye.

I watched the whole story! From the beginning of Fords talking I though how in Gods name is this woman speaking in a forced tiny voice as a frightened child become a holder of a PHD through the years and be like this. I’m sorry I do not believe much of what she said and what was she a 15 yr old doing there anyway
As for Kanavaugh I would have been mad as hell to be brought up on something supposedly happened over
30 yrs ago!! Has she had amnesia for all the time
I hope the FBI investigates her past as close as they have Kavanaugh
I am a registered Democrat but this should have nothing to do with what is right or wrong
I feel this is a political move all the way and I’m sorry the D party has in my opinion used this situation
because of what he stands for on R/W .He is not the only person who has convictions over killing babies

Try this: Did you watch the Fine Steen's face during Kavanaugh's testimony? It was stone cold, just like the rest of the Democrats'faces.
Why? Because they knew they were in the midst of completely, remorselessly destroying the reputation and family of a totally innocent man in the name of a political agenda.

I don't know where you come from, what you believe nor what your conception of decency happens to be, so let me clue you in.

The Kavanaughs are a wholesome Christian family that is accustomed to dealing with honest and decent people. The judge served his country from the bench, not as a politician. What the Fine Steen and her politically, "end justifies the means" corrupt fellow Democrats did was drag Brett Kavanaugh, his good name and his family into the cesspool that is their sphere of existence, not his.

Good, honest human beings are not even mildly accustomed to that kind of evil filth, so being ambushed by it, being dragged down into it was undoubtedly a profoundly overwhelming experience, like having someone you've never seen before walk up, curse you and stab you in the gut. To the Kavanaughs, this was a horror that came out of left field.

How would you deal with something like that? From my point of view, I was watching a man who's been all but traumatized by this totally malevolent force that has come down on him like a ton of bricks.

And you, woodguru, think any previous justices, even Clarence Thomas, experienced anything like that? You think a completely human reaction disqualifies him from fulfilling the responsibilities of a justice on the Court?

You either don't get out much, or have less empathy than a snake
