My question is when has American not been great? As for Trump being my president--as soon as he wants to be my president I will let him be...

Eric Holder is a racist.

This snippet was from his early days as Attorney General.

"On 26 June 09, Sen. Patrick Leahy delivered on his promise to hold a federal hate bill hearing. Yet it was meant to only further his agenda, strongly slanted against opponents of the hate bill.

Attorney Gen. Eric Holder and three other hate bill witnesses chosen by Leahy had a four-to-two advantage over opponents of S. 909 based on Leahy’s time restrictions (little more than two hours). Holder’s testimony and questions lasted 75 minutes. In any normal environment his rigid and flat-footed performance would have to be deemed a disaster.

Under questioning, Attorney Gen. Holder was surprisingly forthright in admitting that the hate bill is not intended to protect everyone, or even the majority. He said only historically oppressed minorities were to benefit. This means Jews, blacks, homosexuals, women, etc.

Eric Holder made it clear that if a white Christian male, including a serviceman or police officer, was the victim of a violent hate crime by any minority he would have to find redress from traditional law. He could not avail himself of the triple penalties and rapid government/justice system response given a protected minority.

These catastrophic admissions were extracted from Holder, who made it plain that he is seeking legal privileges for certain groups based on what he called “the unfortunate history of our nation”.

Anyone who reviewed the comments and deliveries by Democratic Senators Feinstein (CA), Cardin (MD)and Schumer (NY) cannot doubt that, for them, this legislation is a stepping stone to criminalizing political opinion. Feinstein actually cited the immigration debate as necessitating passing the Bill!"

None of these powerful Progressives have ever been anything but racist.

Barack Obama is above all else, a racist. He and Eric Holder were completely in lockstep on that issue.

[quote=PeterS]My question is when has American not been great?
Since so many people stopped acting like Americans and started acting un-Americian and won't stand as Americans with the grace and dignity and respect for America and everything it means to be an American. Do I like Trump as a person? NO!
Do I agree with everything he is doing as president? NO!
Do I support President Trump? YES!!!
I have supported every president because it's the respectful and dignified thing that all Americans should be doing.

When did America stop being great when Americans stopped acting like Americans with dignity and respect.

The only way we can all be equals and get the respect and dignity we all want is when we can all stand together for everything it means to be an American and act like Americans together.

Then we will be the greatest America ever.

Well, I didn't think I was special but Trump has no interest in being president to anyone who isn't a far-right conservative so I have no interest in him being my president...

I have no idea what you mean stopped acting like Americans. No, we don't all have to stand together. What you are proposing is Nationalism and Nationalism isn't American but is a trait of Nazi Germany and the very worst thing we could do as Americans today. Nationalism dictates that we can't protest by any means that might offend the other side--and what wouldn't offend the other side?

We don't have to all agree and to do so would be the most un-American thing we could possibly do...

I never said anything about not allowing protesting. You don't have to agree with everything to stand up for your country. Patriotism shown is what I have been talking about. But if you want to keep hating America you do have that right, but so many including myself would rather you exercise that right from somewhere else.

Americans for America = Patriotism
Hatred is bad and Patriotism is good

And you can't have equality while holding onto hatred.
