I have the hardest time trying not to be rude to other posters. I don't want to be called fithy names and you don't like it either. I don't know where this is gonna go but I am starting with a big appology to all I have offended. I ain't too nice sometimes. I want to better myself.

Perhaps you might consider how your granddaughter of age 1year would react and perceive you if she could read your comments on occasion. Will you be able to look her in the eye and assure her you behaved in the best way you knew? Will you be able to tell her you are an example of interaction she can follow and be proud of? What would your deceased wife think of your written commentary?
Thats a real eye opener I thought of it today after I was rude to a poster and found out it was someone else when another poster fessed up.I am repenting. You are a good mentor. Gotta get myself in line. I still don't like some stuff that is said but I can't behave like a troll and respect myself.

You have improved a lot since you first started. We can disagree without a bunch of name calling and insults. Those who can't end up looking like fools, simple as that. I will admit it's difficult with some posters and I haven't always been blameless either.

Your justification of your behavior is because you "don't like some stuff that is said"? R E A L L Y :hunf: :hunf: Are you the same age as the youngster you have taken responsibility for? :?:
I, hopefully, will not offend you with the following.
You mentioned earlier attending a breakfast this AM with "elders" from a tribe. I have little knowledge of your tribes; however, some of my reading has shown me that the Native Americans were a people of dignity and spirituality. Are you following in that path?
I do apologize for lecturing; however, my concern is less for you then for the young child in your care. You may think you have time to rectify your behavior; however, the longer you act in a certain way the harder it will be for you to rectify such habits.
I will now stand down. Be well and blessed.
[comments well taken . I don't like some stuff said especially assinine stuff. What got to me was humuliating remarks directed at me. I looked around and saw a lot of people doing their best to humuliate the other. some times they gang up on one another. I decided this was the way to be here. The cycle has to stop one poster at a time. If this works a better experience will be had by all. We are here as entertainment in a form.quote=AuntiE]Your justification of your behavior is because you "don't like some stuff that is said"? Geezzzz...I said I would quit lecturing. Obviously I prevaricated.
Are you going to let others determine your behavior?
There is the old parental phrase when a child answers why they did something, "Because Johnnie/Joanie did it." The parental response is, " If they jumped off a roof, would you?"
I will say there have been many newly added members who started out presenting their comments in a reasonable fashion. It only took them a V E R Y brief while for that to change, which tells me their intent was not to be "reasonable". Of course, as I am southern, redneck, God believing, Bible thumping, gun toting, post menopausal, female dog (I do not use ugly words) (all things I have been called) what do I know?
Well I like you so I will never berate you.

Everyone makes mistakes, everyone gets the end or edge of their patience, everyone speaks at times without thinking. I am guilty of all these things. I commend you for your admitting that you have been harsh to some (never to me). You have won the battle, now that you know what not to say, practice. If someone pushes your buttons, do as some and challenge with intelligence, do as some others and not respond, or adopt a kill them with gentleness. Either technique you employ, those that want to yell, scream, curse, or call you names will stop after about 2 weeks of not getting the anger they are searching for or need.
You are a man with opinions, many times I agree with you and there have been times when we disagreed. I know deep in my heart that you now have the tools and discipline to communicate without hostile remarks.
Thankyou from the heart.. I will get by with a little help from my friends
