Frosty, you leftists would be better served to look past your hating of the rich and start going after the non-producing, unelected federal employees who are sucking up most of the tax money. Any idea how you would make progressive the gas tax, sales tax, beer tax, etc? The drumbeat of "tax the rich" is so stupid.

Gas tax, sales tax, are regressive. Beer tax.. Ooooh no one would ever do that, would they.. OOh, the inhumanity..

Sales tax can be very unfair depending on how it is structured.. if it includes item which are not compleatley optional, they should be tossed out..

Gas tax is necessary but should be, as originally intended, limited to use on our roads and highways..

As alternative fuels become more used, we will start to see more demands for user tax.. so if you buy an electric car to reduce fossil footprint, you will have to pay yet another new tax..

You are intent on proposing only the questions you would like. BTW, have you stopped beating your wife? Why don't you just admit that re-distribution of wealth is your ultimate goal? You just can't handle the fact that in a capitalistic economy some people are going to get rich. The poor people in this Country are, on average, better off than the wealthiest in socialistic countries. Leftists think that tearing down the wealthy is the way to build up the poor instead of encouraging entrepreneurship as a way of providing more jobs for those who need them, thereby giving them the opportunity to build up their own wealth.

I believe the concept of America has never had an opportunity to really soar because of the Leftist Democrat ball and chain around it's ankle for the past 150 years. I will take the liberty to expand on your observations here;

I believe the ultimate goal of Leftism in the United States - which is a unique form of Leftism that can only be employed here - is ABSOLUTE CONTROL OF ALL HUMAN ACTIVITY cradle to grave. The primary weapons in their arsenal to achieve this goal are racism, redistribution of wealth, a strangle hold on health care, environmental terrorism and the elimination of the 1st and 2nd amendments. Today we see these weapons turned on us in all out assault on our Republic 24/7/365.

While we as individuals make distinctions and decisions no true Leftist can admit any good associated with capitalism and therefore by association, with America; a concept they despise. They are conditioned to regurgitate the Party Line, nothing more or less. No thought required.
