Really! Do they show the documents that prove what they are saying is the truth? If they are telling you that so and so said this, do they show you the tape to prove that? I've never seen it. I don't necessarily take sides with this article but it is probably the worst situation you want to put yourself into as a politician. How Reid got to this position is a mystery because he has to be one of the most ineffective public orators in his profession. Public speaking is definitely not his forte and he ends up retracting or explaining himself all the time, similar to Sarah Palin. If he felt compelled to defend this attack, then he should simply find a bunch of the folks who he claims has benefitted and loves obamacare that have terminal illnesses. To attack the attacking ads is the same as attacking the terminal patients in the ads (in main streets eyes). It can only pulled off by experts in oral communication - someone like slick Willy or Reagan. However, they probably would be smart enough to avoid the task altogether and only comment on the ads if pinned down in an interview. His strategy to attack these ads has only hurt his argument.

I was simply referring to her Couric interview and the satirists that gave her that label that's stuck. I'll just say that she deserves credit for some things but is off the mark on others. There's disagreement between those that support her and those that are opposed to her regarding the legitimacy of her statements which creates more of a problem for the GOP than a help. I didn't want to get into posting about her, I know there are a lot of folks that greatly admire her and she has many followers who understand her mannerisms and how her statements are misconstrued while opponents tear it up. If someone is a supporter of hers, I can see how it appeared to be a cheap shot. I was basically referring to how she is not on the top of the list as a preferred speaker which I thought was common knowledge that her speeches are not embraced by her party due to the divisiveness it causes (she wasn't asked to speak at the '12 RNC).

Whether any slur was intended or not, the fact remains that the Dems and some Republicans really don't like Sarah Palin. The reasons for that should be obvious. She's still a beautiful woman in spite of her age and what she says hits home because she's honest. This scares the hell out of the Liberals and threatens others simply by being compared to her. So of course they attack.

Seems to me that anyone who wants a female politician to deride, Nancy Pelosi more than provides genuine opportunities for that, ones that don't have to be fabricated.
