The notion of voter identification has been kicked down the road by Conservatives for many years..... and I think it is just about ready to happen, thanks to the "progressives." With the Russia interference being in the news almost daily, progressives are asking how President Trump will protect their right to vote and safeguard the information.

How amusing..... as Poppa would say, there are ways to get people to do what you want and they will think it is their own idea.

Election fraud, adulterated computer systems and bogus counts that can't be checked because there is no hard backup, and even if there is the election board refuses to allow recounting is a far more serious problem.

Why doesn't the GOP support cyber upgrades in voting systems? A week ago the GOP shot down funding that was for letting states do needed upgrade and security work to antiquated systems that are known to be at risk.

Just what system can't be cheated There can't be a fool proof system.Unless in your wisdom you have one.

Everyone is worried about the Russians but you better start thinking about the crap that demoRat politicians are doing.they are registering illegals in some states and issuing drivers liscenses to illlegals and that is where motor voter comes in. the demorat
party is a lawless party trying to create turmoil among voters and they are doing a good job.

It's the 21st century, and some people STILL don't have any form of identification?

To be fair, my State has tried to pass voter ID laws, but constantly added a whole bunch of other shit into the bills, in an obvious attempt to rig the system. Our State Supreme Court rejected those attempts. So, the legislature tries again, putting the same crap in the bills in a different manner, thinking they're more clever than the judges on the SC. If they were serious about protecting the integrity of the voting system, they'd pass a clean voter ID law.

BTW, my State still hasn't done anything to secure their electronic systems. The Russians didn't meddle by having Russian agents pass as American citizens and vote.

Why people are afraid to show ID when they vote???Is it because they are here illegally???......Everybody should have ID especially when you are voting......Unless you here illegally, then you have no right to vote!!!!!!

It continues to amaze me how some people who call themselves intelligent, well-educated and well-informed, can say, with a straight face that voter ID laws are not needed and are pushed because they are an obstacle to voting. Woody, you know as well as I, and are just not willing to admit it, that voter ID's are not that difficult to obtain and would be a big step to eliminating voter fraud. Of course I realize that if you bend on that issue you are giving up the only argument you have, however weak, to opposing voter ID laws. It is very frustrating to try to discuss issues intelligently when the other side refuses to accept or use logic.

Why do you need ID to get a loan, see a doctor, pick up medicine, or even get a tooth pulled??

I have said for years the only foolproof voter ID is your FINGERPRINT the FBI has been using it for years. Computers have made it faster and more accurate. The the tech knowledge is already available. A couple additions to the program could reject illegal votes, duplicate votes and tombstone votes.
