Those with your name submitted twice you simply have no choice and must attend... lolol
Looking forward to sharing recipes, knowledge of healthy foods, herbs etc..
Slat knows about eating food, do we think he cooks too???
Adding more to the invitation list too.. If any of you know others that like talking about food and recipes etc. Please let us know so we may invite them...
Did you know Olive oil is extremely high in oleic acid which is used to reduce blood pressure. Olive oil also contains many antioxidants including vitamin E, carotenoids and oleuropein. Extra virgin olive oil comes from the first pressing of the olives with no chemicals used to extract the oil.... Obviously healthier to use but not all types is good to use when cooking..
What’s your favorite meal??? I first asked favorite “dish” and immediately heard the men saying the kind that has my favorite meal on it..~
Or perhaps saying "Which ever holds the most food" We need a couple of wine experts too.
My favorite meal is home made pizza, right out of the oven!!

Yes, we make it fresh. We make the dough two days before, put it in the fridge, roll it out early afternoon the day we want it, let it rise on the counter.
Home made sauce mozzerella cheese from block, thinly sliced, mushrooms, sweetpeppers, onions, pepperoni thinly sliced, cooked bacon, crumbled, if using fresh tomatoes I lightly fry them then cut them into small pieces, black olives, put all that stuff on the pizza crust that has been docked and cooked for ten minutes at 350. Put thinly sliced mozzerella cheese, a small amount of other type of cheese, maybe sharp American, or pepper jack. Cook for 18 to 19 minutes, cut with pizza cutter. For 16" pie we cut in 6 pieces, or 8 if your are extra hungry (think about that for a minute) We cook the pizza on a stone with another stone on the shelf over the shelf with the pizza. We often put a pizza cooking wire on the bottom stone before putting the pizza on it. Pizza is one of those things that you make for yourself and what works for you. Neither of us will eat anchovies, won't even get near them!!!

I’m coming over for your next one! I’ll make the salad to go with it!
I can’t stand anchovies.. Too fishy tasting and way too much salt... Yukkkkkk..
I make Brats seeped in beef then grill.. Like this german potatoe salad.. It always goes quick so I think people like it..
In a Southern German Potato Salad, the dressing is made from bacon drippings and vinegar. In an American Potato Salad, the dressing is largely mayonnaise based....Southern style is healthier... No mayo~~
I prefer the southern style..Can be used warm or cold.. For german I like the warmth but for any other it has to be cold..
Ingredients
2 pounds red potatoes, diced
1 pound bacon, diced
1 red onion, diced
¼ cup white vinegar
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add in diced potatoes and boil until tender, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain potatoes and place in a large mixing bowl.
Meanwhile, add bacon to a cold large skillet. Heat over medium heat and cook bacon until crisp, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove bacon from grease and set aside, leaving grease in pan.
Add red onion to grease and cook 5 minutes until onions are soft. Whisk in vinegar, olive oil, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper until heated through, 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour sauce over cooked potatoes. Toss with bacon and parsley. Serve hot, or chill to serve cold...
Try it some time..

Whew! I finally made it!
Now I gotta go!
Need to get the smoker ready. I have a rack of baby backs, and two New York Strips to take care of.
