Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi managed to sneak past the eyes of the GOP in both the House and Senate an Appropriations Bill, past Tuesday, that will officially change the name of that organization. Republicans were naturally outraged once this fact emerged, that they somehow managed not to see over the week long process of passage. Unfortunately, nothing can be done now to change it. The name change will not take effect until November but GOP lawmakers are vowing that all official references and documents will retain the name Secret Service even after the November deadline. Perhaps surprisingly, maybe because of Helsinki or other things, not all Republicans disagree with the new moniker (and a number were seen snickering to themselves when word got). Whatever, it was a great prank.
