For over a year we heard Trump was a white Nationalist, a Nazi. Yet now he’s Putin’s bitch. That doesn’t compute. How in the world does that make sense. Putin and Nazis wouldn’t mix. A Nationalist by definition won’t work for another country. When these latest accusations by liberals blowover I imagine Trump will be a Klingon.

Aren't you on the right always saying that the Nazis are actually socialists? So it makes perfect sense, if Trump is a nazi, that he would sidle up to a former enforcer for the communists.

On a lighter note, Trump would be a Klingon in the Star Trek universe, as would his followers. The opponents would be the Borg collective.

I was just pointing out that the right has recently started saying that the nazis were actually left wing because they have the word socialist in the party name. If the nazis are left wing, as claimed by modern day right wingers, it's not a long stretch to see that the fascist Trump would get along with the ex-commie Putin.

It's only a contradiction (or a reason to make up one's mind) if indeed the nazis were right wingers.

No, it's not just you. I think folks should be more careful when throwing terms like nazi, fascist, communist, etc. The casual use of such extremist labels just muddies the waters. The sophistry I used is an example of that mud.

I suspect most folks are on either side of the political center, but closer to the center than the extremes and therefore the extreme labels discourage discussion.
