I've been to prison twice, jail more times than I can remember, did a year house arrest, been on probation, formal and informal, parole for 3 years and I was extradited from California to Florida by federal marshals.
I've seen every kind of condition people are held in in the US and I can attest, while none of it is good, in no way do they remotely compare with the conditions these fools are compaing them to.

The Nazis were inhumane to everyone they conquered whether they could work or not!
I wrote two college papers on the subject. Got 'A's on them both.
Private prisons and state-run prisons both are for profit. In some places prisons are the only industry.
Whether private prison guards and officials can be fired for being cruel assholes is something I don't know but cruel state and federal prison personnel can get away with a LOT of stuff.

I certainly don't think you are a dam fool! It's amazing to me how these dain bramaged Dems don't understand that wether they are children or not they are here ILLEGALLY! And also they are treated way more humanely now than when OBUMMER was in charge. They get good meals can watch TV play video games and get plenty of outdoor time. They also are allowed to call their families. So I think this is the pot calling the kettle black in my opinion!!!

I find it somewhat ironic that men go to war to protect against people like Hitler & the Nazis but sometimes can turn a blind eye to what's going on in their own back yard... our prison system should be revenue neutral to prevent corruption...way too many people who can't afford to defend themselves in court are railroaded into a for profit prison system in this country... If we are truly a great country of people we should favor morality in how we acquire profit not just how much profit one can acquire …

Grey Davis was recalled after running the budget into the ground.
At a time when CA was laying off teachers the CCPOA received a 30% pay raise over three years.
The CCPOA union at that time was the richest and most powerful in the state.
They fought Prop 36 tooth and nail. Prisoners are job security to them.
I was in prison then and I know exactly what happened.
I remember the COs pulling the air slot machine lever and saying "Ka ching!" whenever a bus of new prisoners rolled in.

People don't want to deal with troubled people. They don't want to see them.
Prisons aren't just for criminals. They're for warehousing ADHD, tactile learners and dyslexic kids who were sent to continuation schools with the delinquents because the schools wouldn't deal with them.
