Having a dear friend who was born and raised in Germany, I asked her what happened in Germany when Hitler was in power. She said, " Most Germans didn't know what Hitler was doing" with the Jews, French, Americans, political dissidents, etc. Unless they observed the German soldiers going into a home and dragging out the inhabitants, they had no knowledge of his actions. So I asked about the "ovens". They thought it was a manufacturing company making pottery, etc. until they traveled closer to them and smelled the stench of death. They had no idea of what Hitler was doing at first, until near the end when the U.S. overtook Germany. They were so frightened once they discovered what was happening, that they stayed indoors and away from the Gestapos. It wasn't just Jews that were taken, but anyone, including Ministers, that spoke out against the Furor. That would include French, English, American, German dissidents, those that rescued the Jews and got them out of the country. All of these people died in the ovens...not just Jews.

I worked with a man in Marketing that was extremely knowledgeable. One day it was very hot and he came in with his sleeves rolled up. As he was leaning on my desk reading some advertising, I saw a number tattooed on his forearm, 6 numbers I believe. I was barely 20 years old and asked him why he had that on his arm. He was extremely quiet, then softly whispered, he was in a German concentration camp. "How old were you" I asked. He replied, "7 years old". He had lost his Mother, Father, and two brothers, plus an Uncle to the ovens. "How did you escape", I asked. The day the U.S. Forces broke down the fence surrounding the camp, was the day he was supposed to go for the train ride to Auschwitz. He was saved. They shaved his head and was getting him ready for the trip when our Military broke into the camp. No, there were NO Jews left in the major cities of Germany...they had all been rounded up and eventually most thought they were going to the "showers", when it was nothing but a building of death. Some managed to escape with the help of some very brave German women; but, there were no Jews left working their shops, etc., no matter how well they tried to appease the German govt. It truly was a genocide, with other races just happening to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

No doubt there are problems with Obama care. The law was passed by Congress, challenged by the Republicans over forty times , and then found constitutional by the Supreme Court. There will be over fifty million people that will have health care that didn't before the passing of this act. It is the best that could have been done under the circumstances.

One can make their point(s) far more forcibly using civil logic, reason and common sense, and avoiding the game of gutter "mental masturbation", that it appears you want to play---go get your mental kicks elsewhere and let the mature people make serious and meaningful comments. On second thought, if you had to give up the profanity, obnoxious nicknames and gutter talk, you probably would be tongue-tied. Actually, I sense you are a well-informed person and all you have to do is "clean up your act". I apologize for the critical part of my post.

I don't think that it is useful to compare any part of the government to Nazi Germany. Hitler and his buddies were in a different political universe. The worst Presidents in US history were infinitely better than Hitler!! bet

Mr. Dehoff, are you a liberal? You are intelligent, but not willing to accept that obamacare is the worst disaster to hit America. It hasn't helped anyone. The people who signed up ate saddled with deductibles twice to three times that they paid before this travesty. People are dropping their policies or better yet, NOT SIGNING UP, and choosing to pay the fines instead. Others have lost their homes because they couldn't afford both. If you are 70 years old, obamacare won't let the doctors give you meds to prolong your life...or pain killers. My God man, did you read that mandate? Yes, hundreds of pages, but you need to know how your life WILL CHANGE FOR THE WORSE. It w. as drafted to hurt Americans, not help them. Don't believe the figures this govt quotes abt anything. It is worse, if it was a terrorist or foreign attack, we would rise up and kick their collective asses, but with the President being the terrorist, and the Media and a lot of the people who voted for him, they will do nothing so they can justify what they did. Frankly, unless Congress draws the line and stops him, I think this country is over and will be done within 20 years if not sooner.

Sir, if you check with "Disqus", and read my several hundred posts, you will see I am about as conservative and anti-"administration/Democrat" as they come. I am a staunch Republican and a strict constitutionalist and am reasonably well-versed on the government's health care plan. I am not objecting to "what" you say, just "how" you say it---civility is the "name of the game". The post to which I am responding, is a significant improvement. In addition, I will be 82 years "young" this month, am a retired USAF major (at age 38.) The government's plan has not YET "invaded" the existing retired military health program. I later, spent 30 years working as a Registered "Rep" for a major mutual life insurance company. I have spent most of the last 4-5 years studying the Muslim/Islamic "issue", which I consider to be the most serious problem facing this great country since our civil war---and, "time/health" permitting, I am hope to write a book on the subject.

Nope but I believe the Muslim problem is at least a few years away before it has a major (like in taking over) affect on the U. S.
What is more concerning is the voter fraud and thus keeping the socialist in power without the possibility of removing them and getting our Republic back.
The other is the utter corruptness of the people that supposed are our representatives who do nothing but represent themselves.

You are one of two things, stupid or naive, which is it? ObamaCare has not helped the uninsured people. It is too expensive and the deductibles are so large that a middle class family can't pay the deductible. It was better not having insurance because the charity hospitals welcomed the uninsured with open arms. Now that ObamaCare has become law, those hospitals can no longer accept the indigent uninsured. You have been listening to the MSM rhetoric for too long and have been brainwashed.
