Your own article that you posted from the Chicago Tribune brings up Pelosi a couple of times. Here's one of the quotes directly from your article:

Pelosi, et. al., do not care a whit about these children - they are just pawns in her game of taking this issue to the mid-terms. Why didn't people scream about the kids being separated from their parents when they sent them here in busloads. Weren't the children sad then? That stupid law about not turning children away needs to go. Those parents who claimed they wanted to be with their children in America (after abandoning them onto those busloads)and who came here illegally should be held 100% accountable for abandoning their children in the first place
Edited to add: Also the 14th amendment that says babies born in the us with an illegal mother are natural citizens because they were born here should be repealed. Anchor babies should go home when the parents are deported to keep the family together. That is the only thing that makes sense. The parents should not expect to be made legal just because they snuck across the border when they were pregnant.

We have sovereign laws. All countries in the world does not allow illegals to come and stay. Why don't you try in China, or Russia, or anywhere else in Mexico? Will they allow you to stay to free load? The US is not an exception.

And if these are asylum seekers they are supposed to get asylum from the nearest country, for those in Central America that is Mexico. Instead they chose to illegally come to the U.S. to exploit loopholes in our laws. It's hard not to have sympathy in general for these poor people. But they are more than willing to abuse our laws, and compassion. There comes a time to say enough is enough. And paying the price by accepting the consequences of your actions is hardly terrorism. In fact referring to this mess as terrorism is vile beyond words

Exactly, they were trying to exploit the loopholes in the asylum laws. Their plight is sad, (as is the plight of American children whose parents go to prison) but enough.
