That Is a typical example of the Socialist Demon-Rat swamp/sewer dwelling traitors type of response.
Anything that helps their agenda to destroy our beloved country and make it a socialist dictatorship is fine with the Socialist Demon-Rats
These people on the left always choose ideology over country.
Whenever I see someone willing to destroy themselves and loved ones to harm someone else with hate as the only motive, I think that person is bordering on insanity or at the least not too intelligent. But there are plenty of them around this silly world. What is even more scary is many are being elected to high offices of government in many countries; and I DO NOT mean Donald Trump.
The guy was making a point .That clearly the right is trying to twist around. He point was the only way anyone gonna pay attention to what going on is a another economic fall out . But don't u worry it clear these R in control are clearly looking out for their selfs. Wasting taxs payers money on golfing, vacation every week and nothing getting done but their private business over seas and here. Which exactly why top 1% got tax cut no one else did . And all the cuts are going to the poor and middle and sick disabled and vets. Meanwhile they are lining their families pockets at the expense of the rest of us

Please try to make more sense next time....Do you really have problem with tax cuts to go to the poor and the middle class????
I disagree with Bill Maher's uncalled for public remarks...just as I did with Rush Limbaugh's comments on his publicly hoping for the then newly-elected Barack Obama to fail. There seems little dissimilarity between the two, except for their differing ideologies. Mr. Obama had not yet taken office, and Rush Limbaugh was already rooting for his failure. On his radio show, Limbaugh said, “I disagree fervently with the people on our [Republican] side of the aisle who have caved and who say, ‘Well, I hope he succeeds.’”
Limbaugh told his listeners that he was asked by “a major American print publication” to offer a 400-word statement explaining his “hope for the Obama presidency.” He responded:
"So I’m thinking of replying to the guy, 'Okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.' (interruption) What are you laughing at? See, here’s the point. Everybody thinks it’s outrageous to say. Look, even my staff, 'Oh, you can’t do that.' Why not? Why is it any different, what’s new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what’s gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don’t care what the drive-by story is. I would be honored if the drive-by media headlined me all day long: 'Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.' Somebody’s gotta say it."
Both Maher & Limbaugh were/are deserving of criticism for their comments.
This story needs to be put in context. Limbaugh explained many times why he said that. I agreed 100% with him. He said he wanted Obama to fail because Obama had already stated his goals for America. First and foremost was he wanted to fundamentally change America. It didn't take Rush, or me for that matter to dig into what little background availabel on Obama and find out his policies were bad for America.

Both liberals and conservatives could easily argue for/against the context of the other's comments. The point is that ideological mouthpieces are gon'na please or inflame one side or the other, depending upon their perspective. The OPP is ongoing proof that partisans and/or ideologues will always find justification for their words, actions or behavior.
Each of them believe in the righteousness of their stance(s).
Again, Maher & Limbaugh each were/are deserving of criticism for their comments...or, praise by those who agree with 'em.
I don’t praise Limbaugh for what he said I just agree with him. Full disclosure if I ever get the chance I believe I would punch Maher in the face. He’s a mean spirited little coward who hides behind the mantle of being a comedian.

I think it's different when a president puts his ideology out there and it wreaks of a socialist/Marxist/communist nature. We have fought 10 year wars against "communism", (not our finest hour). If you're happy with the way things have been, for the most part, and someone comes in and says they are going to 'fundamentally change' America, after getting a pretty good handle on what Obama was all about, it becomes quite disturbing. Therefore, the statement, "I hope he fails". It's different when you're having the Leader of the Free World meeting with a potential threat in order to restore 'world peace', and the liberal radical Left loons are rooting against him.

My apologies for loosely implying praise from you with regards to Limbaugh's comments.
Full disclosure: There are many on OPP who, given the chance, might enjoy punching another poster's face. This forum's mantle of anonymity may hide many mean-spirited little cowards and Maher may well match that description...sort'a like Dennis Miller.
