DACA recipients aren't given a clear path to citizenship. That is part of what the Dream Act seeks to rectify.
Rectify?! That means to correct something. These people broke the law to get here, have lived off the American people's largess for 20 years. They don't deserve citizenship because they were able to get away with breaking the law for 20 years. We may decide to give them an undeserved break and let them stay, but if they wanted citizenship, they should have done what every LEGAL immigrant did, and followed the rules.
What LEGAL immigrants have to do to immigrate to Mexico
Have means to sustain themselves economically
Not destined to be burdens on society
Of economic and social benefit to society
Of good character and have no criminal records
Contributors to the general well-being of the nation
Illegal entry is a felony
First time illegal entry is liable to imprisonment up to 2 years, and of course deportation
Enter twice and the penalty is up to 10 years in prison and deportation
Immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor
Foreign visitors do not violate their visa status
Foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country's internal politics
Foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported
Foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported
Those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison
These are the highlights.
How dare Mexico criticize America for deporting ANY illegal. And how dare these ingrate law-breakers act like they are ENTITLED to citizenship.
Of course Mexico and Central America want illegals here in the U.S. They have sent over 69 BILLION dollars home
