Clapper said Trump should be happy that an "informant" was "monitoring" his campaign....so the question remains, why wasn't Trump told about this informant, if it was so good for him? And also, did the FBI send an informant to monitor Hillary's campaign?

According to Clapper, the spy (under whatever label you use) was there to look for evidence of Russian interference in the DNC and Hillary campaign and had nothing to do with the Trump campaign. Now if that were true, why wouldn't they place him in the DNC or Hillary campaign where the supposed interference was taking place?

This is the funny part. If this were true and they weren't looking into Trump, they would have told Trump because, quite simply, if Russia were approaching Trump, his input would have been invaluable in directing the spy who does not exist. In other words, don't piss down my back and tell me its raining.
