roy,

The gun situation will never become easy..

This even in Memphis, has so many ways to twist it, we could go on all day..

A true nut case with extensive back ground, naked other then a jacket to carry magazines.. With an AR-15, killed only 4 people in a waffle house.

Thanks to a black unarmed man who tackled the shooter and wrenched the rifle away.. The good guy without a gun, overcame the bad guy with a gun and saved a proble much higher number of victems.

Huge kudos to the unarmed man.. maybe even trump will mention him in a few days..

A very brave and desperate man..

Would your brave, desperate man have needed to wrestle with the shooter if he had been armed? What if he had had a semi-automatic handgun to do his shooting with? I love these stories about unarmed people taking down shooters but would much rather see them shooting the bad guy. I don't carry but if I live long enough surely expect to do so to protect Mom and myself.

J,

It is worth pointing out that the unarmed hero is black..

On OPP, time after time, posters go to the effort of pointing out that a law braker is black..

Now you complain that I take the keystrokes to point out a hero is black??

Will you accuse me of calling all black people to be heroic because of this one example?

When the example is criminal, you have no problem putting that label on all other black people..

If it is fair to point out the bad blacks, does that mean it is not fair to point out the good black?

More pictures from the Dem Occupy site. Maybe I need to start looking there. I would but I don't lean far enough left.

The major flaw in this right wing rhetoric about lives being saved by gun owners? None of the legally law abiding gun owners are going to lose the right to have their guns, "gun Control" is about taking guns out of the hands of unhinged nut cases. So gun owners will be able to continue to keep protecting themselves.

Maybe you need to look closer at what that "gun control" is all about. It will call for all guns to be registered and that tells me that the police must know where all legally owned guns are located. Do you really think that "unhinged" gun "owners" will register? I don't and only fools do.

The major flaw in your leftist rhetoric is no gun control law is going affect anyone other than law-abiding gun owners. Criminals and nut cases do not obey the law.

Obviously, you've been duped. The liberal politicians in the US congress with the power to do so have long been committed to the Utopian dream of disarming ALL American citizens. And, please note, it has nothing to do with "taking guns out of the hands of unhinged nut cases" and saving the lives of school kids.

Woody does seem to have been duped but most of those who lean left have been the same way. It is a shame that those liberal Congress critters you mentioned are still around, but how do we get rid of them?

Get the "Dirty Harry video collection" and watch him blow away the bad guys with his :44 magnum" .

Yes, I do hope the dad get charged.. If only one bad guy involved, it would be him..

I would use some other the pictures from the usual, but i have a real problem with moving them off the new page to my file..

also, many of those photo/cartoons are not very amusing, so I try to keep it light..

Didn't the Supreme Court rule that we have a right to use a gun in self defense? I have a friend who shot a rapist 6 times before he dropped. Good riddance. I love the slipper slope you people live on where the end of the AR-15 equates to the end of all guns...

Its not just all guns, they are coming after knives in Texas. Talk about a slippery slope.

Hey, this afternoon I went to the Democrat Occupy site and saw so much crap that I am sure your posters from them are what you want and need. While reading there I came to see just what I knew I would. They consider themselves to be media and want those who stagger in to believe that is the truth. I guess I could survive there if all those things you bring in were what you say. How bad must most of their stuff be?

I did not even know they have a site of their own... I will have to visit..

all those cartoons come to me via some long term "friend" who I have never met..

But much of what he sends is raw even by my standards.. so they do not get posted on OPP.

I think now that someone told me about this before.. I need to write it down so I have that look..

do you recall the name of the fellow who would post cartoons about once a week? he had good taste in his selection..

they always seemed funny, even when scorching the left wing world..

Did you read about my old school going to the world championships in Robotics..

Tiny place 147 students.. them beat all the big schools and are competing this week..

Amazed me... So seldom a little place get some notice, so it truly pleased me...

Be sure you get to Occupy Democrat when you can. It is quite a place and the site looks so much like CPUSA in how it is arranged and what they say there. I haven't looked at CPUSA in a log time and will take a peek there anytime.

Of course, I didn't see your article since not much of that kind of thing gets beyond the MSM and ai avoid them. That is kind of like the year, about 1978 when my nephew set records in the state weight lifting contest and his team won the State tournament in Minnesota.

I never heard of such a thing, either. However, the Brooklyn Park newspaper had a fine picture of that group of boys. The heavy weight winner weighed close to 250 lbs, a near middle weight winner weighed 138, my nephew was just under 118 and the smallest of the group was a dwarf just under 98. They had to meet weight limits and used the wrestling method of weighing in in the morning and then eating a large meal. My nephew had been a wrestler that year so knew the methods that work. He did win the bench press with a new record. I am very sure that most of those who competed in this were from Minneapolis and the vicinity.

Very find boy Roy...

As soon a I closed my other post, I realized I was all wrong on my time.. In the 70s my boys were not even is school, maybe not born (74), so I was not keep up on HS sports then..

But I wish I could say that your nephew had my attention..

As for the Occupy Dem site... I did get a look at it... I understand you not liking it...LOL.... I love it... sorta the counter to the Teaparty sites..

But it showed nothing new to me, so I think the cartoon will be the reason for my viewing them..

good morning to you and have a nice weekend....

Dave, my nephew, was a well built "little kid" and as I said had been a wrestler so knew most of the tricks. The weight lifting coach had seen him lifting getting ready for track and swimming. His weightlifting didn't do him any good when a car he was working on at home fell off the jack, in that he was killed by that one.
