The most striking thing about liberal progressives is their fear of mounting an articulate and convincing defense of their own ideology, not its policies, but the underlying philosophy that drives it, and as a consequence of that fear, their only recourse is to remain forever in attack mode. Yet, cloaked in all their attacks are elements of the progressive philosophy projected onto its opponents.
I can guarantee that if I personally am not terrified of "anything left of center", then Trump sure as hell is not. He's made it abundantly clear that he isn't afraid of you fools.
BTW, Pete, Hitler did not divide the German people, excluding the Jews and other "vermin", he united them, and that was by no stretch easy. He drained the Wiemar swamp with brown shirted thugs and bullets and began an inexorable drive toward destruction. He did not base his ideological and political philosophies upon conservatism or liberalism or libertarianism or any other ism, he selected elements of them all, including religions, with which to fashion his own political system, his own "ism", elements that would enhance and boost his drive for power. And those elements of all philosophies that would not or could not accomplish his mission, he rejected. Yes, he despised Marxism, bolshevism, and communism, among others, but, ironically, he adopted the oppressive elements of all of them to build his unique form of tyranny. At the heart of Nazism lies a particularly virulent brand of racism. 50 million people died under the jack booted Swastika.
So, forget the right-wing/left wing bullshit, and give us an honest assessment of the ideological philosophy of liberal progressivism and how it benefits the human race. IOW, what exactly do you stand for and why is it supreme among the politics and governance of man? If you need any help with that, let us know.
The most striking thing about liberal progressives... (

Sorry to break your little bubble Blade but the Jews, Gypsies, Liberals, Intellectuals, Communists, and Socialists were all Germans and and Hitler very much divided them from the rest of the country. The only people he united were those who shared his right wing ideology and no different than what our current fascist in charge is doing today. And let me ask you something Blade suppose you developed a new movement would it be based on your belief system or would it be devoid of any ideology? You just have to look to who Hitler isolated to know the ideology behind his belief system. And just why would Hitler need to adopt anything from Marxism? Hitler blamed all the ills of Germany on the left and the Jews his favorite scapegoat. He didn't need Stalin for anything--hatred begets hatred my friend and there was more than a little of it going around at that time. Hitler did what all right wing ideologies do and blamed everything on others with no blame left for themselves. When all your problems are caused by someone else's a gas chamber isn't that big of a leap.
As for how progressiveness benefits the human race there isn't a single advancement in this country that wasn't based on liberalism. Our government was created by liberals. Our economic system was created by liberals. It was liberalism that freed the slaves, ended Jim Crow, and responsible for every type of equality in this county. There isn't a single advancement in this country that you regressive conservatives are responsible for--except for creation of the largest military industrial complex ever assembled in the world. Your brother in arms Herr Hitler would be very proud...
