(What does everyone have against ancient Babylon anyway? It was a beautiful city.)
It is a miracle you survived your visit to Babylon, how did you escape the Persian armies of Cyrus the Great when they conquered it? Did you take any pictures while you were there?

The birth of the Roman Catholic Church came when the Roman emperor Constantine converted to Christianity in 313 AD. In 350 AD, a church was built on the hill named Vatican. Saint Peters Basilica was finished about 1650 AD. In 1929, Vatican State was created as negotiations took place between Benito Mussolini and the Pope. The Vatican is actually a separate state within the city of Rome. The final book of the Bible, authored by the disciple John, was completed in 98 AD. So, where does the Bible "clearly state that the Vatican is the New Babylon"?

Trained under Walter Martin PhD, fluent in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and near fluent in Aramaic. 5 years study orthodox scripture, 10 years study cults and occults with applications to minister to the lost in cults.

I learned "Topical Bible study, Chapter summary method, Book survey method,

Knowing Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Greek unveils the interpretive options of a given text—and assists in properly adjudicating among them.
In the Greek language the genitive case alone has over thirty different grammatical functions, of which translators must choose only one in any given occurrence; English readers frequently have little clue what possibilities the translators rejected..

Knowing Biblical Hebrew and Greek gives the interpreter useable access to invaluable exegetical tools
Certain passages of Scripture have multiple possibilities for meaning. Some translations footnote (usually one of) the grammatical options, but many do not. When, say the King James Version differs from the New International Version, how will you determine which of them gives the best sense? "Gut feeling?" "Holy Spirit Woosh?" Urim and Thummim? For this, readers need a knowledge of the Biblical languages and access to grammars, lexica, and scholarly commentaries that deal directly with the original text, little of which will make any sense to those unschooled in Biblical languages.

You have an impressive background, definitely offers deeper understanding of scripture, with ability to teach and disciple others.

We live on an amazing day, to think 2000 how wonderful to live in the beginning of the church age, yet now we are blessed to see prophecy unfolding at or very near the end of the church age. As you know the "mysterys" spoken about were not secrets but things not yet revealed and we during this age see scripture not before understood, now revealed. Exciting and amazing to see God moving and people, nations and events for the glory of God.
Prophecy : History written before it happens. We are seeing a convergence of prophetic signs, the very signs Jesus spoke of. Right now nations aligning in Syria just as Ezekiel (38) said they would and Psalms (81). The prophecy of Damascus Isiah (17) being wiped out that no human will ever again inhabit.
These three prophecies could happen any day.

I trump your 3 years in a seminary college; four years in a Roman Catholic Major Seminary and being ordained sub-deacon with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. 1 John 2:27

J, I read the article and like you, the one thing I believe is that Jesus is coming again, and I believe soon.
The Bible says the the generation that lives to see Israel reborn as a nation will not pass away. That happened just like the Bible predicted it, May 14,1948 will be70 years. If these non Christian opp members would take the time to read God's word, maybe it would enlighten them. Read Ezekiel, Daniel, Revelation and most other books. There are 66 of them. I am not worthy, as I have made more mistakes than I care to admit, but I do know that Jesus died for my sins, and I am covered by his grace, I asked him to forgive me of my sins. He just wants us to accept the sacrifice that he made for us on Calvary.
There are a lot of scoffers on this site, however, the Bible says that very same thing.

There will be scoffers saying where is he, the promise of his coming? All you have to do is wat home
the Middle East, it doesn't talk about America, it is all about the Middle East. All the nations that are
against Israel, but a newsflash, they won't win. That land belongs to the Jewish people, it is God's chosen land. It is not the Arabs, period!

The Holy Spirit always Trumps schooled in spiritual understanding especially when we see errors made by multiple linguistic scholars, or atheist scholars that study scripture with the motive to prove the Bible false, often claiming contradictions in scripture. "they read without understanding, void of the Spirit that teaches, instructs in all of God's ways".

Probably one of the most important hermeneutical principles is the Literal Interpretation Principle. This is a very simple principle. What does the plain text say? When we read the Bible, we should look for the obvious and plain meaning of the words we are reading. Conversely we should reject any attempt at allegorizing scriptures. When God speaks in an illustrative way, it is always obvious to the reader. No one thinks Jesus has hinges and a door knob when he says “I am the door”. Nobody thinks the Father is a bird when He “hides us under the shelter of His wings”. Allegories in the scriptures are easy to spot. We need to stick to the plain and simple reading of God’s word if were to stick to the literal school of hermeneutics. This principle of hermeneutics is simple. Scripture can help interpret scripture. God’s word is an integrated whole and does not contradict itself. We also know that when God gives us an important doctrine, He is not going to only speak about it once. God places His important teachings in several places and in several different ways in order to ensure our understanding.

When we are studying a scripture in the Bible that is somewhat obscure, we should look to other scriptures that address the same subject for clarification. We should always let the explicit scriptures explain the implicit scriptures. In other words, the scriptures that are plain and simple to understand should be used to help us understand the scriptures that are more confusing.

An example of the Scripture Interprets Scripture Principle

The literal 6 day creation, but it provides a nice illustration of this principle. If someone is confused about the duration of the first 6 days of creation they can compare Genesis with God’s description in Exodus. This description comes from the ten commandments that God Himself wrote on tablets of stone. Scripture interprets scripture.

Exodus 20:9-11 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: (10) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (11) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The Contextual Principle
The Contextual Principle
The Harmony of Scripture Principle
Ect, ect
And on goes the examples of uses applying hermeneutics, my friend.
What spurred you to state hermeneutics is not my friend?

Perhaps confused with false doctrine taught today,, Israel is no longer God's chosen people, the tribulation already happened, and if one is not baptized then they are not saved, these followers of false doctrine use symbolism and allegories when literal interpretation "Hermeneutics" principles would prevent their number one problem, their doctrine drawn from scripture conflicts with scripture.

Who the hell is Jake Thomas? He writes an article loaded with generalizations and no statistical verification whatsoever. Hacks like him are no threat, they are a humorless joke without a punch line. No wonder you found that garbage entertaining.

I know hundreds of evangelical Christians and I've never heard one of them speak of Trump as a reincarnation of Cyrus or some kind of celestial sign of imminent end times or second comings. Most of us just thank God that he is our president and not that diabolical godless creature you libs prayed would lead America to destruction.
