Very good point. A lot of the blame lies with the owner of the weapon by not securing the weapon.

I have children and grandchild who visit men daily. I also have a lot of guns and weapons in my gun safe. I also have several loaded weapons in my home.

My children and grandchildren know they are never to touch then. They all have been taught from a very young age the dangers of guns and weapons.

They also do not watch movies or video games that portray mass shootings as all right. Parents should follow these simple instructions. It could lead to saving needles destruction of innocent lives. Maybe your own child.
