I am happy. I’m also one of those terrible Evangelicals and I got a kick out of this ridiculous article. The only thing in this article I relate to at all is Jesus will come again. I’m not worried about you or anyone else cleaning up there “act” until I can at least clean up my own. Admit it; you posted this to bait conservative Christians. Not because you find it interesting. You’re not near as clever as you think troll.

Zephaniah 1:14, 15
The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and DISTRESS, a day of WASTENESS and DESOLATION, a day of darkness and gloominess, a DAY OF CLOUDS and thick darkness,
Zechariah 14:12
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their FLESH SHALL CONSUME AWAY while they stand upon their feet, and their EYES SHALL CONSUME AWAY in their holes, and their TONGUE SHALL CONSUME AWAY in their mouth.

It's ones as you why the Bible calls America the New Babylon. I would tell you about it but don't want you hiding under your bed.

What if the evangelical cons that you so much despise are right? What if Jesus does come back?

If only you knew the secrets to the incredible mysteries that are found throughout the Bible. Ya see, Pete, you will never grasp a thing or comprehend a thing if you simply read the Bible like any other book, like a novel or a "fine article like this". To you, if you have even read it, the Bible is a work of fiction, or fantasy. But,

Science has shown that mathematics is a universal language, all cultures on earth understand numbers. And, just the mathematics alone that ties events in chronological order throughout the Bible, from start to finish, with uncanny precision is difficult to deny. Particularly when you consider that the Bible is the result of 42 authors in 3 separate countries recording events over a period of 1500 years. For example, in the book of Genesis, the prophesies begin, and throughout the rest of the Bible, the prophets and kings, many of whom had never read a single word of what was recorded centuries before them, expanded those prophesies not only with almost supernatural accuracy and details, but also with mathematical precision. 414 Messianic prophesies recorded over 10 centuries provide a complete picture of the life, mission, ministry, death and resurrection of One Man--confirmed authentic by the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Moreover, the Hebrew language in which all but the most recent of the Biblical prophesies were written also contains a mathematical precision within its letters and words, one little serif or mark above or below a Hebrew letter can change the entire meaning of a single word, sentence or even an entire passage. The fundamental number, the basis of it all, is the number 7--a prime number, a number that can only be divided by the number 1 and itself.

The Mathematical Precision of the Bible

Abstract

The Bible is the word of God; an account of the creation of the universe, of the relationship God has established with man and of His redemptive plan through a pattern man, Jesus Christ. As a discipline, mathematics plays an interpretive role of explaining, revealing the hidden beauty of numbers and their patterns which are inherent in nature. It does so through non-refutable axioms, properties and theorems. The truth in the axioms, theorems and properties remain coherent to the point that mathematics is considered as the language of creation for the scientist who is studying the laws of gravity or the geometry of chromosomes. The bible is an ancient book. Events are recorded in a chronological manner with reference to numbers and patterns are observed. This article aims to unveil some words and passages from the Bible which have a mathematical character infused in them. We will use the NIV version of the bible in most of the reference mentioned in this paper. In the following paragraph, we mention some few words or groups of words which carry a mathematical fragrance.

You are neither a theologian or a psychologist, so don't sit their in your smug, self-righteous arrogance and brand those who have gone deep into the mysteries of God and the Bible as psychotic.

Do you need to throw up now?

They believe President Trump’s Middle East policies will cause the second coming of Jesus.

Evangelical Christians hold varied interpretations of events that will usher in the second coming of Jesus and equally varied thoughts on what part the United States might play in its unfolding.

Generation after generation has believed that it is witnessing the End Times -- and today's evangelicals are no different.

In their support for President Donald Trump, there is a keen awareness that his policies could draw nigh the end of times and facilitate Jesus's return, and there is no need for Trump to be 'one of them' if God intends to use him.

Pastor Paul Prather explains:

“For American evangelicals, there is a term of praise for President Trump that falls like a question mark on most everyone else: ‘You are Cyrus,’” writes Samuel Goldman in a recent New York Times op-ed. “That’s what the Christian pro-Israel activist Mike Evans promised to tell President Trump after his announcement that the United States would move its embassy to Jerusalem.”
...

He says top evangelicals — circles in which I decidedly do not travel —support Trump because they believe him to be the 21st century embodiment of the Old Testament monarch Cyrus.

In their minds, Trump’s willingness to go against the grain means he can support biblical mandates and even fulfill biblical prophecies that may usher in the second coming of Jesus Christ.

In the Old Testament, the Persian king Cyrus allowed the Jews to return from exile and rebuild their temple in Jerusalem, thereby proving that God can work His divine plan through ungodly men.

And some evangelicals appear to hold Trump in the same light.

For them, Trump’s appointment of conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court, for instance, and his startling, controversial decision on the U.S. embassy, fits the Cyrus bill perfectly.
...

Many evangelicals expect Jerusalem to become the center of the world’s attention during the period leading up to Jesus’ return. Some say the Jewish temple will eventually be reconstructed there. Some say a cataclysmic world will may erupt in the process.

But Trump is not the first to be viewed as Cyrus, nor is he likely to be the last:

In the 1790s, a New Jersey minister imagined President John Adams as a potential Cyrus.

In the 1890s, it was President Benjamin Harrison. More than 400 prominent citizens, including a Supreme Court justice, a future president, and tycoons J. P. Morgan and John D. Rockefeller, beseeched Harrison to carve Palestine from the Ottoman Empire and give it to the Jews. Their petition’s cover letter explicitly compared Harrison to Cyrus.

In 1953, President Harry Truman did them one better. Introduced as the man who had helped create the state of Israel, Truman replied, “What do you mean, ‘helped create’? I am Cyrus!”

Christians know that only God, The Father, knows the exact time of Jesus's return to Earth!! Nothing mankind does can change that time. The important thing is to try and get the Good Word out that Jesus died for all sinners, and that includes you Peteyboy, was ressurrected and will return one day to rule the world for 1,000 years. Hopefully, petey boy you will have repented of your sinful nature, which is on display daily, accepted Jesus as your Lord, and cast your lot with the only one who can save you from the clutches of Hell!! Quit bashing the sinless one, Jesus, and get on board to find out the real meaning of Christianity and not some bogus information that your leftist teachers indoctrinated you with.

Amen Brother,

God tells us to watch, he gives us signs so we can know the season, as the church age comes to the end. Caught up to be with the lord " He comes as a thief in the night" only the father knows.

Then the second event when Jesus returns to the Earth, the Mt of Olives, the Book of Daniel does give us the day Jesus returns, three and a half years into the time of Jacob's Troubles the antichrist enters the temple calling himself God and commites other acts "The abomination of Desolation"

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

People always seem to miss that last line as they quote ‘it will come like a thief in the night’. Indeed I missed it too until someone pointed it out to me.

"But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief."

Daniel 7 tells us:

He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.

Basically, ‘time’ is one year, ‘times’ is two years, and ‘half a time’ is half a year or six months. So that means this invasion of Jerusalem will go on for three years and a half.

Daniel 12:

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

So from the time the abomination of desolations (Antichrist) is ‘set up’ in the temple, meaning to be bestowed or to be worshipped, and the daily sacrifice is stopped, there will be 1290 days. In other words, when we see the Antichrist standing in the temple as Jesus warned in Matthew 24, it’s going to be 1290 days until Christ’s return. And if you haven’t done the math yet, 1290 days equals 3.5 years.

So yes, when Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour except the Father, he was absolutely correct. And we still don’t know at this point when that day will be. But once the saints see the Antichrist (Gog) standing in the temple in Jerusalem proclaiming himself to be god and the daily sacrifices in the temple cease, then we know exactly what day He is returning. And I feel pretty certain it’s going to be within our lifetimes, and probably much sooner than most expect. Much sooner.

Two events, one Jesus does not come down to the earth, instead calls the dead in Christ, then the living Christians to meet him in the air. We don't know what day or hour.

Second event, Jesus comes to the earth, the last day of the tribulation. Those in the tribulation can count the days, until the last day from either the day the antichrist approves the seven year's of peace with Israel, or 1290 from the abomination of desolation.

God Bless

It's not numerology

It's prophecy straight from the scriptures.
Just curious, what theological school did you attend, or PHD'S did you study under?
What I put in my post was not date setting. We do not know the day or hour, but those in the tribulation can know the day.
