A refresher on the EO.... It can not make a new law, it can direct how the law is enforced and the emphasis of the law. As in; get all the federal felons and deal with them.

Leave the children alone until we can have congress decide how to deal with them..

Straight up was very clear on that.. How could you miss it???

Have you noticed, the republican hate to govern. they hold all the cards and still do nothing..

they are very big on taking all the money.. as in the tax bill.. But you have not figured that out yet have you..

We're not talking about illegal aliens, mac. We're talking about the aliens being protected by sanctuary city leaders. (read the topic title) Those aliens are undocumented but they are NOT illegal. What is it about this that YOU can't understand?

I already explained why childhood arrivals can't be charged with breaking immigration laws. I've been very specific about this. I've told you about the legal defense of infancy and about the absence of any federal laws that deal with the resulting situation. I've explained how this led to the Dreamers Act which was supposed to resolve this very problem but the Republicans sat on it which is what led to DACA, an executive order in lieu of legislation that was supposed to defer action until Congress can get their shit together. I explained how Trump threatened DACA without pushing for any legislation on the childhood arrivals and how city leaders responded to THAT by creating sanctuaries.

Realizing you aren't getting any of this, I decided to keep things simple by reverting to common sense... you can't accuse someone of breaking a law that doesn't exist. So find the law. Ya know buffalo did this to me today... He found a law that I had forgotten about. You know what I told him? I said I concede on that point. You can do the same thing... If someone shows me a law and proves that it's broken, I accept it. I will concede of you can prove me wrong.

But so far you haven't shown me a law that the dreamers have broken. All you do is insist that they broke a law. and I'm asking... what law? Honestly, you don't need to keep repeating that they broke the law, I understood you the first time you said that. What you need to do now is show me the law.

SHOW... ME... THE LAW!!!

Shouldn't I be asking YOU that question, since YOU are the one that can't find a law to support your accusations?

mactheknife wrote:

First of all, I don't know what you're smoking but the majority of Americans are on MY side not yours (if you people weren't so isolated in your alternate realities you would know that.) Latest polls indicate almost 9 in 10 Americans said they believe that the so-called Dreamers should be allowed to remain in the U.S. if they meet certain requirements, such as working or going to school. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/369487-poll-nearly-nine-in-10-favor-allowing-daca-recipients-to-stay

Secondly, the number of Americans willing to "fight us to the death" over this issue is an even smaller, minority of bigots, retards and wishful thinkers. So if that's your company, good luck.

Also, to think childhood arrivals are a threat to our civilization... LOL well, it's delusional at best.

Finally, my resolve on this issue has always been clear... there's no "making up my mind" and I wasn't coming up with excuses, I was explaining the law... apparently to a brick wall.

Look, I don't see any point in continuing this conversation with you... I thought your continued failure to find a law to back up your accusation would further emphasize the point I made pages ago http://www.onepoliticalplaza.com/tpr?p=2362653&t=126392, but now I'm realizing it's just causing you to make a fool of yourself... it would be mean for me to continue.

I'm just going to say one last thing for anyone still reading this dead horse...

In our law-based republic, Trump's DOJ has the authority to prosecute, a process that starts with specific laws then seeks action against people who break them. They do NOT have the authority to persecute, which is what they are doing when they start with actions against specific people then look for laws to justify it.

We don't need new laws, we just need you anarchists to obey the laws that are already on the books. The illegal aliens are here ILLEGALLY. Do you get that?!!! So far, president Trump has governed a whole lot better that did Obama. DACA is an issue of the Democrat's illegal, unconstitutional making and the Republicans do not "hold all of the cards" as you claim. They do not have a super-majority in the Senate. Since the problem is a Democrat problem, they should join the Republicans to fix it, but they won't. Why? Because they think that this will be an issue in the mid-terms. They may be right, but I sense that they will be mightily disappointed with the outcome.

Shame on you! Look, it is a crime to be in the country illegally, so don't try to wriggle around that. Every illegal al;ien has already broken the law and yet you seem to think that it is your right to "aid and abet"? If you don't like the law press your representatives and have the law repealed or changed. Your ignoring the law impacts the rest of us in a very negative way. Please read the reports on CIS.org to see what it costs. I hope that you will do the right thing, it is your responsibility as a citizen (that is, if you are one).

shame on you Mac.....

The misdemeanor that you are so upset about is the only law that they have broken..

And the fact that they were children when they came to this country, they are not responsible for that violation.

To be in DACA requires meeting narrow guide lines of age, character, education/training as well as paying a yearly fee..

would you feel better if they had to pay the 250 $ fine rather then the 500 $ fee?

write to your people in government and urge them to work on this issue.. I have done that some time ago. When President Obama urged everyone to do so..

So mac... Obviously, there's no point in explaining the law to you... so I'm just going to ask... What do you have against these Dreamers? Why is it so important to you that we rip their families apart? And don't tell me it's because they broke the law because you don't know what the law is. Can you at least me honest enough to explain the real reason for your persistence on this?

Yes, illegal immigration is a huge financial burden on our country-read the reports on CIS.org. We are the only country that I know of that allows people to reside in the US illegally. Take Australia, for example, they are sending NZ citizens back home if they are there illegally and yet there are probably no two nations on earth who have stronger ethnic, racial, economic, cultural, legal, and sociological ties. Try being in China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, or Russia, for example, as an illegal alien and see what happens. I would much rather see the money that is being spent on illegal aliens being spent on reducing the national debt, which is a large part of the legacy that we will leave to our children and grandchildren, rather than frittered away on people who are not here legally. I don't think that we can do both, do you? With regards to DACA, the solution is simple, send the intact families back. What's wrong with that or are just a jello? Finally, why do you want the illegals here in the first place and what gives you the right to make a decision that impacts me and my co-citizens? I take it that you are not a Congress Person or a Senator. I'm sure that you are not President Trump. He is too bright to be making your arguments.

Kan,

Look at the requirements for DACA.... they are the winners.. They have to have those traits you list in order to qualify.

they have become the ideal Americans. educated, responsible, in the service or holding jobs.. Why throw away some of our best people?
