You left-wingers believe the rest of the world is duped by your disavowal of violence and conflict, when evidence to the contrary is plainly visible. When you endorse and encourage Antifa, BLM, and student rioting as in Berkeley whenever Conservative speakers are scheduled to make an appearance, there is warfare. The hysterics evidenced by entertainment figures using a bully pulpit, to attack and ridicule Conservatives is warfare. Media of all sorts spew negative interpretations of each and every action, by any non-liberal, to the extent that such negative coverage is in excess of 90% opposed. Suppression of conservative thought in public forums is suppression of free speech and an auxiliary tactic in warfare. The totalitarian left has declared war on the Conservative half of the country, which disagrees with them.

The point being made in this post and its many comments is that war exists right now. Progressives are making an all out effort to subjugate and eliminate any contrary view just as any dictatorship does. The battle is being fought with words, policies created in board rooms, propaganda spewed by the media, concerted furor over every incident while keeping the causes concealed "for security purposes". While it is to be hoped there is no éminence grise involved in these actions they give the appearance of a concerted, directed, assault on one half the people by the other half. It should be remembered that the Bolsheviks were only a fraction of a small party, Mao's group was a drop in the bucket as were Hitler’s' Brown Shirts, and Mussolini's Black Shirts; all had far fewer adherents than the rabid progressive left.

As far as the danger in college professors, it is an adage that "The pen is mightier than the sword". They possess mighty weapons, they have the ability to indoctrinate and inculcate beliefs, in their charges, that are antithetical to freedom and the principles this nation was founded on. They do so to the extent of one college professor attempting to stifle a conservative's free speech was recorded calling "Get some muscle here".... when words failed the resort was to violence. It is these people who are the greatest danger to a free society. Instead of the Socratic method of demanding the student think for themselves they resort to propagandizing and brainwashing. These students then go on to be this nation's politicians and business leaders, while their heads are stuffed with progressive/socialistic nonsense and worse, an abiding hatred of any dissenting thought.

Armed conflict may ultimately occur although I do not believe it will. Officially there are about 300 million guns in this country; the reality is that there are closer to one billion guns available. No amount of gun control will ever prevent the American people from arming themselves, to resist oppression. It is that certain deterrent, which makes such a war unlikely. Conservatives are not, contrary to your assertion, itching for a war. However, should it come to that they will certainly give you one if you insist. Yours is the ideology of totalitarian control, ours is the ideology of limited government.

I'm not sure I have a clue what you are talking about, but I am sure you are fairly clueless. I have no problem with "brown skin", or black, or any other color - or how foreign born women, or men for that matter, dress. What I DO have a problem with is ANYONE who is in our country illegally - thus making them illegal aliens, period and I want them returned to their home country, yesterday would have not been too soon. If you are okay with these hordes of illegal aliens, maybe you will let them move in with you?

Old Country Language..... That is the term for nearly all people who came to the United States.. They came from the "old country" Poland, Norway, Italy, Finland, Germany... where ever.

And a great many of these people use the old country language in their home.. At least some of the time if not most of the time..

And yes that included my home, not only the homes of others.. At one time, I could speak Norwegian as well as English.. No longer..

Either whoever is doing the classification is concealing such ancestry or whoever did the trace didn't find the trail, possibly because of name changes. A lot of the old Italians left with one surname, sailed and entered the US under another because the original surname was on an arrest list. Revolution and banditry were very popular in Southern Italy. Something similar could have happened in your family line.

Sometimes the immigration people recording the names would shorten or anglicize the name if it was difficult for them to spell or pronounce.
