I believe you're wrong. Our police officers are trained to run TO the gunfire. Just as our firefighters are trained to run into the fire to save lives.

Teachers involved during a school shooting incident would be " Trained " on what to do when Cops arrive. Cops would be " Trained " to be aware of armed teachers. This is doable. There are cases where armed citizens stop a crime in progress and do not get shot when law enforcement arrives. Yes it does happen.
The seconds after a shooting begins are crucial. Teachers are there at that time, the cops are not. I say an armed teacher with proper training could have prevented some of these deaths.
I fail to see why you think a teacher with a gun who is at the location and the time of the shooting is a bad thing. He may fail, but he may shoot the bad guy.
Obviously not arming teachers in this case failed. Also " training " for the personnel at the scene failed. Also security before the shooting failed. Also the FBI and local law enforcement prior to the shooting failed to prevent the shooting even though they had warnings. So obviously their " training " is not adequate.

Well, I know you are wrong. Police are trained to take cover until they access the situation!
Several of the students are saying the same thing. You do not go blindly into a situation.
Even SWAT teams take precautions when they raid a house.

Tell me what is the problem with armed teachers ? Tell me the downside because I do not see it. Does it contradict the message to kids that all guns are evil ? Are you afraid of accidents ? Might a kid steal a gun from a teacher ? Into the 1950s there were shooting clubs in schools. Imagine that. Guess what, there were not the mass shootings in those schools. I wonder, wonder, wonder why NOT !!!!!!!!
The most dangerous place in America is a gun free zone. Making all of America a gun free zone is crazy. Why are there no mass shootings at gun clubs ????????? I was to go ice fishing but it was just too cold-5 with wind chill so we went target practicing what a trip... Blade showed me how you can turn your semi automatic into a bump gun just by using your finger positioned correctly.. I tried it out of curiousity and Know I would have to practice plenty to perfect it..
One, the fast movement of your gun when trying to do it is initself difficult to control.. two, you automatically are inclined to shoot as you normally do and switching it up here is a discipline issue for me anyway..Three, I had no real control over where the heck I was shooting from my waist!!! First time out I’ll try it again just to master it but doubt it would ever be my gun of choice..
Still I did enjoy it, learning something new is always good...

You know more and do more shooting than I get to do. My time and energy are seriously limited currently. When I had the time I used to love shooting clay birds. I found that my younger daughter had a real talent for that. Hopefully in the not too distant future ( semi retirement ) will give me time and I hope energy to at least do more fishing and canoeing. River kayaking I had to give up. Too old, too fat, too many transport problems.
