How's yer weather down there today? We got another inch of rain today, on top of the 7" we got earlier this week. A friend who farms in the Oklahoma panhandle said they have not had any rain in over 100 days. I wish he could have gotten some of what we got. I suspect Archie's neck of the woods has been dry as well, he is roughly 100 miles S of my friends farm.

We had a bit of rain earlier this week, but today is dry, cold and intermittenly windy. I'm guessing the temperature is currently around freezing. I have spent most of the day indoors. I threw together a ham stew with yellow squash, red cabbage, and carrots...seasoned with bits of bacon and spicy chipolte sauce. I also baked cornbread in my favorite cast-iron skillet. Hmmm, good

Here in E Coast VA., 70 today 39 tomorrow. It's like this all winter, Summer is hot and humid. Ticks love it, lots of bug spray. Mike
