Nice try troll. We have the most expensive higher education because of government loans and over inflated salaries. What incentive do colleges have to compete on price when students can easily obtain student loans that may or may not be paid back? Have you ever looked at what administrators pull down at these bastions of higher learning?

And from me; well done.

I might add that in the good column you could remove a lot of it by simply stating that conservatives support the Republic. And in the bad column, point out that the Founders abhored the idea of a Democracy, which is the goal of all Liberals because it allows mob rule.

My intention was to lay out a more complete list of the good and bad as a reference to all of the plusses and minuses we face today. What I perceive is attempts to erode our system one piece at a time, so we need to be on guard to reinforce each of the good foundations of our Republic.

All I will say to that is how much of your business is with Bankers & Big Money

How much is it from the average people on the street?

I was self employed for over 50 years. Most of my work was for rental property owners & dealing with their tenants.
The bottom line was I had to do as much as the tenants wanted while charging what the owners were willing to pay.

Let me say that I was good at what I did.
My view was that it was more important to every ones well being if the tenants could afford the cost needed to give them what the wanted.

I have lived with the ideal that it is better for most if the general public has extra money rather than big bankers.

So I say who spends there money on what you have to offer.

The system we have to day is doing a great job for those with Big Money & not near the job that should be done for the man on the street.

Now just who is it that puts their money in you cash drawer.

Actually that reason is quite simple. It's another example of 'Unintended Consequences'. When I went to school, fifty five years ago, my generation was able to work our way through school. The costs were reasonable. In 1958 the government became involved. They started the program to help students get degrees in Engineering, Science and Medicine. It was later expanded to cover everything. The idea was to help turn out better graduates by loaning the tuition money instead of the students having to work, study and go to school. The problem turned out to be the Universities. When they figured out that students would shoulder higher costs for an education, the schools started building and expanding. This raised the costs. Also adding to the increased cost was expanding the campus to support the larger body of students. The idea that everyone has to attend and the subsequent expansion, raised the cost of education. This continues to this very day. So a government program initially intended to help students attend universities became the cash cow for the schools and it is still expanding today. As Pogo famously said, "We have met the enemy and he is us".

All kinds of people. Mostly middle class with a smattering of wealthy. Who is supporting the big bankers or advocating for them on this site?
Most don't know that those two idiots Dodd and Frank who were to curb big bank expansion quietly did the opposite and killed small family banks. I still don't understand what you are always upset about. People with money have power and life's not fair? Well no shit Sherlock. You still didn't give your idea of a solution. Just who and what is the man on the street and who determines his value?

As if the left cares what a hater thinks of them. I just laugh. Have your fun....and as a former vice president once told a senator...'go....yourself'. And that's how I really feel about the right.

Thanky, thanky very much.

Very true!! So many times government programs tend to increase costs for those that must pay.

MALARKEY. I saw your posts that you caged from the thesaurus. Good job! Somehow though, you got the two posts reversed. Let me show you the truth:

Really Simple Conservatism

The essence of Conservatism in government is to preserve and reinforce the good things, good ideas, and good laws in the nation, and to work diligently to eliminate the bad things, bad ideas and bad laws as permanently as possible. The key question is obviously: What are the good things, good ideas, and good laws? Conversely, what are the bad things, bad idea, and bad laws?
The list to follow represents an attempt to define good and bad by specifying a number of good and bad elements in our society, totally from my point of view. It is apparent that the list could be extended beyond the 36 items in each case.

While these things, ideas and laws are not precisely all good or all bad, the tendency is to group them into good and bad lists, with the understanding that in the process of undoing a bad thing, idea or law, its good part will be preserved by government as nearly as possible. As in most cases in life, the Devil is in the details.

So, you are a Conservative if you sign up to:

Good Things, Good Ideas, and Good Laws

2. Freedom and Liberty, Including Right of Property Ownership

That's because the Govt. got involved with the finances. Govt. student loans. Do some research and then put input into the conversation. Mike

Thank you, kankune. I may have to stooge around for a few days to create so more ammunition, or else I just might replay some of the same stuff, figuring that the Lefties didn't read it in the first place.
