Merriam Webster definition of arrogance: an attitude of superiority manifested in an overbearing manner or in presumptuous claims and assumptions

Merriam Webster definition of incomprehensible: having or subject to no limits

As I watched FOX NEWS and the Yahoo news feed on my internet home page over the last few days I noticed that the Democrats and RINO Republicans in the “Washington Cesspool” have totally lost touch with America and reality. Either that or they simply do not believe that they are accountable to voters, or they believe the majority of voters are too stupid or uninformed to understand what is really happening in Washington, D.C.

Instead of working on bi-partisan immigration reform and a reasonable U.S. government budget while the Government was shut down, there was a three day battle to see which of the “Washington Cesspool” occupants could get the most TV camera time. They spent their TV time saying the most ridiculous and irrational things about why the Government shut down. While this was happening I asked myself several times if these people are aware that there is always TV tape and audio recordings of everything they say and do publicly. These recordings clearly prove they are constantly contradicting themselves, and they have no concern what so ever that anything they say or do will have any consequences for them in future elections. Arrogance is the only word I could think of to describe this mindset.

After our Government reopened with a ridiculous short window, open only to February 8, the Democrats and RINO Republicans continued to publicly demonstrate an incomprehensible level of arrogance toward the American voters.

• When the Democrats and RINO Republicans choose illegals over our SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN, AND THEIR FAMILIES, and brag about it in front of TV cameras, that is the “height of arrogance”!
• When the mayors of major sanctuary cities boycott a meeting at the White House with President Trump to talk about the country’s infrastructure needs over the rights of illegals in their cities, and brag about it in front of TV cameras, that is the “height of arrogance”!
• When top ranking FBI personnel exchange thousands of text messages, on Government issued phones, about how to prevent President Trump from being elected, or a ‘back up plan‘ if he is, and then a month’s long block of those text disappear, that is the “height of arrogance”!
• When a long list of Democrats go to great lengths to get in front of TV cameras to insist that President Trump’s new tax plan did NOT help the middle class, that is the height of arrogance”!
• When a long list of Democrats go to great lengths to get in front of TV cameras to insist that everything good that happened in America during President Trump’s first year in office was a result of Obama’s eight years in office, that is the “height of arrogance”!

Obviously this list could run on for many pages, but the examples I have listed here confirm that there is an epidemic of arrogance in the “Washington Cesspool”.

Those of us that truly care about the future of America must remain vigilant and active to assure we are victorious on November 6, 2018!

Your going to see a giant blue wave and by the way a democrat offered a motoin to fund the military in case of shutdown and republicans shot it down. And when your tax breaks expire you do know you will be left with "no deductions " then they teach you what real taxes are.
Think if the rich don't pay then you have to.

Hardwork, You certainly are entitled to your opinion. I have lived through many Republican administrations, and the only one I consider good was Eisenhower, and the first Bush, and Ford weren't entirely terrible. The rest were among the worst in US history.. Nixon was the worst followed by Bush no. 2 . Trump needs to be impeached, not so much because of his policies, which are designed to give the big bucks to the super wealthy and a few crumbs to the working and middle-class, but because of his character. The man is a total narcissist, liar, sex predator, whore monger, and maybe worse. Thats why we hate him politically.

Not true. Another half truth from you. Another shock. It was not a clean funding of the military.

You call yourself a teacher (no wonder the kids are coming out of school can't read, or reason) and call for impeachment based on character. If that was reason there'd have been way more impeachments. You hate him because you are an uninformed typical led by the nose minority. Period.

That is also a textbook definition of arrogance: the idea that everyone who disagrees with one has lost their marbles. Here's some facts to consider:

more folks voted against the President than voted for him.
America consists of more than those who voted for the President
the voters will hold the representatives accountable every 2, 4, or 6 years
the representatives know this and may actually represent their constituents
the last election is never the final word on what America is, was, and will become.

The idea that the Trump Presidency is the final word on the evolution of the country is itself arrogant.

More folks? So? We are not a Democracy. Thank God. Most of the votes that gave Hillary the advantage in the popular vote came from California. Not saying the votes weren't legit. Just doesn't matter. I like our (electoral college) system. I don't want the coastal elites and their values telling the rest of us how to live and like wise I don't blame the lefties who don't want the bread basket population to tell them how to live. I'm actually a big states rights guy. Come on stiff. You actually believe most voters are informed?

Actually, Mr. Florio, I do believe that voters are better informed than ever before. There are so many more sources, and ways to get them, than any previous generations of voters. Those who have an interest can be more informed on more subjects and by more sources than prior to the digital age.

Not that everyone takes advantage...but the info is out there.

Very true. But how much info on either side is not being spun? I saw a video of a gentleman interviewing Bernie Supporters. He read the Trump tax plan verbatim to them and told them it was Bernie's plan. They loved it. The expressions on their faces after he told them it was actually Trumps plan was priceless. Many kids today don't know who fought in the Civil War. Do you really believe most are informed on Chain Migration. Negatives and positives? I don't. They are indoctrinated from 24 hour news and speculative news and social media. For instance ; you or I might hear Koch industries pay no tax's. I imagine you would research such a statement as I would. I don't believe many people do. I believe if you're a liberal there's a good chance it's just a good ol gotcha moment and if your Conservative might just as likely dismiss it out of hand.

salwind, It sounds like you're describing former President Bill Clinton, except that he was a Democrat. The only Democratic President in my life time without any sexual scandal was Jimmy Carter(born in 1963, JFK was President then)

The Left's massive arrogance has always been there. The have always been of the opinion that they are smarter than everyone else and that everyone else must do what they say (not what they do). The latest displays of their incomprehensible arrogance is the result of desperation.

This has been going on for years, where have you been? Remember when Obama told Congressional Republicans to 'get to the back of the bus'? Well he did, and his party cohorts just loved him for it. I find it refreshing that people are finally waking up to this after 20+ years though. Maybe, just maybe, things are going to change after all...

Nah.

Save it for 2028. The GOP is going to lose the House and possibly the Senate this year. The 2018 midterms will be a referendum on Trump.

I actually agreed with you until recently. Most parties in Power lose big in mid-terms. So it wan't much of a stretch. However; with the economy starting to chug along and Schumer getting his ass recently handed to him and Trump actually looking presidential at the latest world conference I believe the Republicans may hold on. If Chucky is smart enough to take this stupid amnesty deal Trump put out there then the republicans will get hammered.
