Ok, I do go defense when I feel my America and my Alabama are being dissed. That election was not about the seat. Had three running, Brooks, Strange and Moore. Being from Alabama, we all knew each had flaws. This election was a concession to the Dems. Art of The Deal. What news has came from Alabama since ? Toyota investing over a billon dollars for a new plant in Huntsville. Mercedes in Tuscaloosa investing to expand, more jobs. This being said, now we have a DEM in the Senate that is middle of the road. Beholding to the DEAL, can be a swing vote. Knowing that he has to vote for what is right for Alabama to hold his office. At the same time knowing that if he doesn't cast votes in the Senate to move not only Alabama but America forward, he will have a very short term. I hope I have explained this was not about Moore.

I meant that even though Moore was a poor candidate he could/ should have won because Alabama is such a red state. It’s actually one of my favorite states.

Still when you say "we are talking about Alabama". That puts it on a personal level. I have been deployed all over this world. I have worked all over America. I have met good and bad. I could pigeon hole people, countries and states. It would be the same if I said, "we are talking about Florida". Just throw that out there. And let people still assume their opinions of Florida. Or Alabama. Do you see my point ? My Dad told me, "It's not always about what you say, but how you say it."

Nope. I really don’t. But that’s OK. Thought it was obvious I meant politically. Hell even the totally blue coastal states have good Americans.

First off I hope I’m wrong. Here’s why I don’t think I am.
1). The party in power generally gets trounced in the mid-terms.
2). Alabama elected a Democrat Senator. I know Moore was a horrible candidate, but be that as it may we are talking Alabama here.
3). Special election in Wisconsin was just won by a Democrat in a district Trump carried by over 20 points.
4). RINO’S .. They will back stab Trump even if it means losing the majority.
5). Trump himself. He has committed the sin of not being one of them. The Washington elite. He hasn’t removed all the obama holdovers in the government. This is political suicide. He has a budding economy, military triumphs, more conservative judicial picks than any president in this amount of time, a stock market surging yet we are always being distracted by the Democrats and their partners in the press. Not fair, but boo hoo it’s politics. His undisciplined remarks feeds them. Doesn’t bother Trumps base but you must appeal to Independents.
6). The press. This worries me as an American. They have given Trump 95% negative coverage. Ridiculous, but there it is. At this point in Obama’s term he had
80% favorable coverage.

The Press is so one sided and the Republicans so inept that for the first time “its the economy stupid” might not matter.

Is this the same press that predicted a land slide for Hillary? People vote their pocket books.

Yep. Same press but more prejudice than I’ve ever seen. Like I said I hope I’m wrong but the loss in Wisconsin worries me. 48 % of the sheeple say this is Obama’s economy.

You might want to take a look at the 2010 and 2014 midterms, see who got trounced.

In the 2010 Midterm Elections, the Republican Party gained 63 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and six seats in the U.S. Senate from the Democratic Party. Republicans also gained six governorships, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan. Republicans gained 680 seats in state legislatures, the most in the modern era.

The 2014 United States elections were held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, in the middle of Democratic President Barack Obama's second term. During this midterm election year, all 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 36 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate were contested; along with 39 state and territorial governorships, 46 state legislatures (except Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Virginia), four territorial legislatures, and numerous state and local races. This midterm election became the most expensive in history, with total spending reaching $3.7 billion (including spending by outside entities), while producing the lowest turnout since 1942.

The elections saw sweeping gains by the Republican Party in the Senate, House, and in numerous gubernatorial, state, and local races. The Republicans gained control of the Senate for the first time since 2006, and increased their majority in the House. The Republicans also gained two seats in governors' races.

Overall, the elections resulted in the largest Republican majority in the entire country in nearly a century, with 54 seats in the Senate, 247 (56.78%) in the House, 31 governorships (62%), and 68 state legislative chambers. Moreover, Republicans gained their largest majority in the House since 1928, the largest majority in Congress overall since 1928, and the largest majority of state legislatures since 1928.

Justsss, I believe this too. Pence is another career politician, like the rest of them. People need to vote, if we loose, they will try to remove Trump from office, and America will be doomed.
We need to pray for Trump and his family.

Really? And hear I thought I was as pure as the driven snow. Except for an occasional randy thought.
