The subject was World War II spending causing 35 years of post-war prosperity. You are ranting about the wrong subject. Wake up, genius.

And the Fed has been trying to get a little inflation going for five years without success and is worried sick about deflation, as is Japan. You are hallucinating.

Wake up and stop hallucinating, genius.

I was.responding to your post regarding growth as of 2013. Your posts are so damned disjointed, who the hell knows what you are prattling on about. Melvin, you are beginning to bore me. Continue babbling about disproven Keynesian economic principles. That has what has caused our credit rating to be lowered and untimately will have the dollar.replaced as the world's reserve currency. Let's see how fast this moronic shit you spew collapses that day. Martin, if 100 years of failures don't penetrate your thick.skull, there is no hope for you. Apparently your brain is only capable of regurgitating the left wing pap a couple of old failed professors shove at you. It hasn't worked. It has never worked.y

Austerity has failed disastrously everywhere it has been tried. It is failing now in the USA and especially in Europe.

The few cases of serious inflation are always related to an economy tied up with foreign currency: Weimar, Zimbabwe, etc.

Printing the right amount of money has succeeded marvelously every time it has been tried: twice, once by Abe Lincoln and by once by FDR.

Your ignorance is exceeded only by your arrogance.

One reason is when they drive down interest rates to below 2% on bonds that is offered and true inflation (counting those little things like energy and food) is over 9% it is not a wise investment to automatically take an over 7% PPI lose on your investment.

You are hallucinating again. Too much of the stuff?

Current inflation rate: a scary 1.5%. Looks like deflation coming.

Bawahhaa Can I interest you in some genuine big foot hair? Cheap.
That is the process used to determine COLA SS raises.
"The CPI chart on the home page reflects our estimate of inflation for today as if it were calculated the same way it was in 1990. The CPI on the Alternate Data Series tab here reflects the CPI as if it were calculated using the methodologies in place in 1980. In general terms, methodological shifts in government reporting have depressed reported inflation, moving the concept of the CPI away from being a measure of the cost of living needed to maintain a constant standard of living.

The day will come when interest rates won't be held down and the Jimmy Carter rates will be back. Paid $3.14 for gas a week ago not it's at $3.29 in one day.

Florida is usually on the lower side, every year we go north with VA being the last cheap gas.

Current inflation rates do not include energy and food prices. Real inflation is a lot higher than 1.5%.

Gasoline prices are stable in my neighborhood. Food prices are declining.
