My post in response to your initial one was simply to show/prove that one can find whatever they want to find on the internet to serve a purpose: "Eagle, The internet offers varying views on both liberalism/conservatism...for example:" I personally believe there is enough nonsense coming from both left and right to justify having said that some from each have lost their senses.

Thank you, Blade. Now, I know more than I cared or needed to know about the many varieties of classified genders.

Hemiman, if you re-read my comments, I never stated that you called me a liar. My exact words were...'Denying Hemiman the answer he sought is not the same as dodging his question. If I told him what he wanted to read/hear, he likely would have doubted me...or, even called me a liar.'

My writing in Jim Webb for the presidency should tell you enough to know that I don't care enough for either or trust either enough to be in the White House. Nothing has changed to second guess my decision.

The fact that you won’t answer speaks volumes about you.Don’t bother telling me you don’t care what I think I already know that ,anyway you not answering is an answer in itself and now everyone knows the real Slatten.

Eagle, The internet offers varying views on both liberalism/conservatism...for example:

Is Political Conservatism a Mild Form of Insanity?

By William Todd Schult, Ph.D.

Posted Sep 06, 2008

A few years ago I was standing on the deck of a beach house on the 4th of July and a person who had obviously drunk too much told me, “The secret of my life is that I always need someone to hate.”

I was reminded of this exchange while watching the stupendously ruthless Republican National Convention over the last several days. Is there anything that conservatives do not hate? Maybe drilling. In fact, they appear utterly phallically obsessed with drilling (a practice that, in about 10 years or so, might reduce gas prices by 2 or 3 cents per gallon). But otherwise, what we learned from the recent hatefest is that Republicans hate community organizers, liberals (surprise!), Madonna, the “east coast elite,” the “angry left” media, trial lawyers, people who are too smart, people who are “cosmopolitan”—the list goes on into eternity.

Listening to this litany on Wednesday night in particular reminded me of a research article that came out roughly 5 years ago on political conservatism and motivated social cognition (Jost, Glaser, Kruglanski & Sulloway, “Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition,” Psychological Bulletin). In a nutshell, the article—by Stanford and UC Berkeley researchers—seems to suggest that conservatism is a mild form of insanity.

Here are the facts. A meta-analysis culled from 88 samples in 12 countries, and with an N of 22,818, revealed that “several psychological variables predicted political conservatism.” Which variables exactly? In order of predictive power: Death anxiety, system instability, dogmatism/intolerance of ambiguity, closed-mindedness, low tolerance of uncertainty, high needs for order, structure, and closure, low integrative complexity, fear of threat and loss, and low self-esteem. The researchers conclude, a little chillingly, that “the core ideology of conservatism stresses resistance to change and a justification of inequality.”

The above list of variables is more than a little unsavory. We are talking about someone full of fear, with a poor sense of self, and a lack of mental dexterity. I always tell my students that tolerance of ambiguity is one especially excellent mark of psychological maturity. It isn’t a black and white world. According to the research, conservatives possess precisely the opposite: an intolerance of ambiguity and an inability to deal with complexity. Maybe that’s one reason why Obama seems so distasteful to them: he is a nuanced, multi-faceted thinker who can see things from several different perspectives simultaneously. And he isn’t preaching fear, either.

This sounds a lot like the bullshit I was taught in a lot of my psychology classes when I was a young man. As I got older, I realized that Liberals stood for nothing. Liberalism is basically a point of view that shuns absolutes, personal responsibility, accountability and consequences for your personal choices. They favor something today and tomorrow, they will be totally against whatever it was they favored as a policy or trend. They think they have the right to reach in your pocket to expend your wealth for any of their agendas and because they attended Harvard, or some elite school, they know more then you. You can see the results of this kind of thinking we have had since WWII. Our nation is in a big mess.

The American People know something isn’t right and they are beginning to wakeup to that very fact. The smoking guns are just about found in the hands of the Liberal everytime you find one. They have a hatred for our religious traditions, which this nation was founded upon, for life and common decency. They have paralyzed just about every level of government in our nation, bankrupted every major municipality and have strattled the country with an enormous debt that will be our undoing. In the final analysis, the Liberal minded person who follows this kind of thinking will see his/her ass in a situation that will
not be very pretty. They will be held accountable and there will be consequences for sixty years of deception.

The leftists have taken us down a road of insanity for at least 60 years. Everything good they touch they destroy and they never build up but love to tear down. Just think of that pervert Odamnit. Using restrooms identical to your born sex was the order of the day. When he became president (resident) he started leading men to women's restrooms! A great community agitator he was. Look at hillary "rotten" clinton, bashing bible believing and 2nd amendment patriots, while welcoming in thousands of illegals and islamists to rape, murder, shoot up and destroy our country. The vileness of the left to destroy goodness is endless.

As Mark Twain once responded..."I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. I said I didn't know." As stated, I didn't find either Clinton or Trump acceptable. However, someone had to win, and President Trump did. I accept that fact, just as I would have had Clinton won.

Since the truth doesn't satisfy you, it is doubtful any answer would.

My parents were democrats (mostly) when I was a child. My aunt was a republican as she owned a business. My parents said that reps were for business owners and rich people, and that dems were for the working man. I believed that. Even though I never chose a party, I was still 80/20 democrat. I didn't like Regan or either of the Bush's, but I did like Clinton.
The first snag was NAFTA. What did Mexico have that we needed? I could understand Canada, but Mexico?
Then Obama got elected and I believed in hope and change. Wasn't long before I was disappointed.
I took a look at abortion. Consider this; if we found a single microbe alive on Mars, we would celebrate discovering life on another planet, but we say that a fertilized egg is not a life, or that a fetus that actually looks like a little person can be murdered by it's mother and a doctor.
Also, I didn't like Obama taking sides with his ole buddy after being arrested for trying to break into his own house but refusing to identify himself to police and Treavon Martin who was beating a man's head into concrete who had broken no laws. Then POTUS bowed down to an Arab muslim( the most powerful man in the world bowing down to anybody???) Then the issue of guns; take a good look at Fast and Furious. On top of that, Holder refused to cooperate with Congress, and Obama locked up his papers by executive order. Wait a minute ! I thought.
So to make a long story short, I became a republican. I voted for Trump and the country has made a massive turn around. I can't understand why liberals refuse to acknowledge the progress that Trump has made. He is NOT perfect;i.e. a politician spouting elegant lies, but a man who loves this country. Also, this thing about being power hungry...if that were really true, many, many people would be seeking the presidency. There are people richer than Trump and they're not running for the presidency. Trump loves this country and he speaks a language that we ( the forgotten) understand. Give me reason, not vocabulary.

The sane person has a standard of absolute truth to perceive fact from fiction (lie). Yes, it is not a "black and white world." But we can warn a person of what may happen to them and others who follow them what the likely outcome may be if they proceed on the basis of a lie. For example, if a person's "bottom line" belief is "the end justifies the means" then there is the possibility that there is no restraint in them from committing murder if it is deemed necessary to get them to their desired "end." You must warn them of the consequence; if they do no heed the warning, then warn their followers and others of the belief of this person.
All "king of the mountain" pursuits are based on this "pragmatic" notion of "end justifies the means": communism, national socialism and any kind of secret corporatism. A group or individual that wants to rule of people requires murder. Our founders knew this; this is why they hammered out a constitution based upon the rule of law which would protect them from even their own tendencies to go for "rule."
