Planned Parenthood: We Did 321,384 Abortions; Got $543.7 Million in Tax Dollars

Planned Parenthood says its affiliates did 321,384 abortions in the fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30, 2016, according to its newly released 2016-2017 annual report.
In the same report, Planned Parenthood says its affiliates received $543.7 million in payments from government—“Government Health Services Reimbursements & Grants,” the report calls them—in the year that ended on June 30, 2017.
According to a report by the Government Accountability Office, Medicaid and the federal Title X Family Planning Program both provide tax dollars to Planned Parenthood. (As summarized in a Congressional Research Service report published in May 2017, Planned Parenthood Federation of America affiliates received $400.56 million in Medicaid funding in 2012 and $64.35 million in Title X funding.) Because 2016 was a leap year that included 366 days, the 321,384 abortions Planned Parenthood did during fiscal 2016 equaled approximately 878 for every day of the year.
If Planned Parenthood had done its abortions non-stop 24-hours-a-day for the full year, they would have needed to abort approximately 37 babies every hour--or one every 98 seconds--to reach 321,384 abortions for the year.

Yep. Your tax dollars hard at work killing babies faster than we can make 'em. That's 321,384 women walking around with their own dead child's blood on their hands. By the way, that's a little over $1700 per baby for a 15-minute procedure. Cramming them in at 4 an hour will pay $6800, or $54,000 per day. Not bad work if you can get it.

Isn't it correct that The Hyde Amendment prevents any federal money from Title X Family Planning and Medicaid form being used to pay for abortions?
(there is a very narrow exception for Medicaid where the life of the mother is in danger, cases of rape and incest.)

paule: You're interpretation is flawed!....Our tax money keeps PP alive and well; PP must operate on its own nickel.....Get the Government out of funding abortions.....its a moral issue which the Government should stay completely out of!

Okay, let me get this straight...my tax dollars don't support PPs abortion, my tax dollars do support PPs other activities so their own money can support abortions...therefore, my tax dollars ACTUALLY DO support abortions.
It's way past time for PP to be cut off from the govt teat. Let em sink or swim on their own dime - problem solved - too easy. 😎
