Broken pencils are pointless.
Do not quote people. You should have enough confidence in yourself, to speak your own mind; besides that, you really didn't say anything.

Actually,your comment seems pointless.

but are pencils with ripped erasers broken? after all, part of its job is to have the ability to un-do what it has done. but they are not pointless.
broken pencils are not always pointless.
but pointless pencils are always broken.

Oh yeah? Well, you can dig all you want but the mine is mine. There's nothing there anyway, it's in "Ore a gone"

Ripped eraser? Only makes the pencil challenged, but challenged, makes a pencil creative.

However, they still can continue on.

Who the heck needs pencils anymore, everybody either learns how to type, or they are left out of the conversation. Not that most of them have a point, most of them are only valid if they hit some point you are concerned about.
Being concerned has a point, but most people don't get it. so why bother about points anyway, they are only useful in sports and issues of crime. If you have a point in this pointless dialogue, sharpen it up and let is see if we can make it any more dull than it presently is. There must be a lot of pointy headed folks out there that enjoy pointless dialogue.
What's my point? There is no point, it is all pointless, that's the point. Here is another pointless supposition, Why does anyone want to go to Mars?

Continue to what point?
The point to where they are destroyed, of course, because all use of them are futile, which renders them meaningless. They no longer have a place of usefulness.

Are you saying after, "They no longer have a place of usefulness." they become pointless?
