It wasn't a matter of a bleeding heart jury it was a mater of following the law. The last thing a judge says to a jury is to follow the law to read the statute regarding the case. A jury I served on was wrestling with a problem the majority wanted to find the guy guilty but we reviewed the statute three times before we agreed we were with in the law find ing the guy guilty. It wasn't easy it took some deliberations and a lot of talk and it wasn't even a capital case
