Scratch a "leader of industry" and a crook will bleed. Try living without the federal, state, and local employees, not just fire, police, and teachers, who work for peanuts compared to the CEO'S who wrecked the economy.
The only crooks in government are the ones you elect.
Actually, not only the ones we elect, but the ones that are hired (appointed) by the ones we elect. I believe what you are saying, and I agree, is that it is hypocritical to blame Congress when "We the People" continue to re-elect them. The fault is ours.

And the fools who keep electing them. Do the names Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer, Boxer, Waters, Cummings ring a bell? Oh yes, McCain, Graham, Boehner, et al.

Well don't be too harsh on the voters they just choose from those that are on the ballot. Voters have very little input as to who they get to vote for.

They can be more selective on whom they vote for by vetting those on the ballot(s).

Well vetting for most of us is using the media which did its part in selecting the candidates or some blog or form that just echos
the media or disagrees with the media. Neither is a truly good way to get the best picture.
My vetting will stay with my gut feeling.
If the Koch brothers have any thing to say that will make my gut choice easy. Just go the other way.

Anything involving Soros is a definite turn off.

Well that evens things up.
When I delivered my 10 pound baby, without any anesthesia because I had to do all the work, IT HURT!

Ouch, that would hurt almost as bad as having Hillary ascend to the Presidency.
I think Hillary would hurt more. Sorry, thought I was answering on another site about childbirth, but glad to get your message.

Yes I did miss the point. I do understand now. It is a good essay. I should have read it more closely. That was my mistake. Thanks for setting me straight and for writing a good post!
You don't know how relieved I am that at least one person understands plain English.

It would be even better if you could speak it.

Come on now I know that you have a good grasp of numbers
& I have said so before.
So make that at least two people understand you.
Remember that I am keeping count. I expect you to keep count also. But you don't have to brag about it with a post.
You can just PM me from time to time & say that you can see that you are getting your point across.

There is nothing Left or Right about them, and seeing them in that way is at least an in encumbrance to clear thinking yet more likely a treasured blindness. Opinions and views are just that: opinions and views. Their efficacy or lack thereof is not dependent upon either a label of Left or Right nor a backing by either party. THINK! I know it may hurt but if you stay honest, we have a chance to get through our divisiveness.
I am a Christian. I believe in God. I am an American. I believe in our Constitution.
If these make me a freak, so be it. In my opinion (note, I said opinion), there is no
such thing as a right or wrong opinion. An opinion is nothing more than the
verbalization of a belief and I am not smart enough to tell anyone their belief is right
or wrong. It is their right to believe whatever they wish. I reserve my right to agree
or disagree with their belief but not to declare it right or wrong. Why can't they do
the same? What are they afraid of?
