Hawkins, poster boy for the intellectual high water mark of the human mind. Such a minute organ in the immeasurable material world. Totally disregards the spiritual aspect of our existence. And they worshp the creation, rather then the creator...what verse is that? This pride of mind, will be their damnation. The proofs that God has sent have been rejected as too simple. This is why we are to approach God as children. The wisdom of man is foolishness to God. The proof is there, it is EVERYWHERE,you choose to disregard it. Even the miracle of your own existence, how? How did you come to be so singular? ! Surrounded by millions of other souls, all unique?

Actually, I've found constipation best dealt with alone. Perhaps it's different for Christians--bearing down together a more effective approach? And I have to agree with Hawkings--science makes god unnecessary--of course so does thinking for ones self. Do you think that why Christians so afraid of science--they can't deal with what it reveals?

So you don't think that the intellectual goes along with the spiritual? I've always found the two go hand in hand. As for your proof of god--anecdotal evidence isn't a proof--this is why it's ignored.

I see much more evidence of God's existence then yours, perhaps Peter, it is you who don't exist. What is the source of your spiritual existence? Spiritual not being measurable scientifically, how does it fit into your view of reality. What becomes of the spiritual when the physical ends? Do you have a soul? Did it also come about by accident? How is love generated and quantified? What is light? I mean what is it really, and how do we percieve it? So many questions, so many things I may choose to deny the existence of.

Nature is my source for what I perceive as spiritual and when I end nature will inspire someone else and yes I was an accident, had my mother been allowed anywhere near birth control I wouldn't be here today. I imagine they are chemical but I couldn't explain it exactly.
