The Hatch Act prohibits, meaning it is against the law, White House officials from advocating for or against candidates, even in media interviews. Her comments on Fox News clearly violated the Hatch Act. You can google for the video of her comments and what the Hatch Act says, if you care to find the truth. Kellyanne earlier this year committed an ethics violation by promoting Ivanka's clothing line; that is another clear no-no.

You do not have to obey laws that are unconstitutional... you may have to go to court... but you won't lose unless it's a liberal judge.

Walter Shaub, who served as ethics director under the Obama administration, said Conway likely violated the Hatch Act, which prohibits White House officials from advocating for or against candidates, even in media interviews.

Speaking to Fox News Monday, Conway addressed the heated Alabama race and Moore's Democratic competitor, saying, "Doug Jones in Alabama, folks, don't be fooled. He will be a vote against tax cuts. He is weak on crime. Weak on borders. He is strong on raising your taxes. He is terrible for property owners."

Conway added: "I just want everybody to know, Doug Jones, nobody ever says his name, and pretends he is some kind of conservative Democrat in Alabama. And he's not."

Shaub tweeted following news of the interview Tuesday, "I found the video. She's standing In front of the White House. It seems pretty clear she was appearing in her official capacity when she advocated against a candidate. This is at least as clear a violation of 5 U.S.C. § 7323(a)(1) as OSC identified with regard to Castro." (Previously Shaub had shared a link to a 2016 document showing a ruling from the Office of Special Counsel finding that then-Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro guilty of violating the Hatch Act for endorsing a candidate on air.)

When will it be ok with the democrats, for the republicans to even open their mouths, and say anything? The democrats are out their on a daily basis spewing out one lie about Trump after another, and they come up with crap like this to whine about? Give me a break! Get over the loss! One of Obama’s favorite expressions used to be: Elections have consequences. If it worked for Obama, it should work for Trump. Get over it!

This is mild when compared to others and CNN. If you think this person is guilty of violating any laws, I strongly suggest you have this person arrested and prosecuted as a violator. I promise you, you will not even get to First Base! Don’t waste your time!

How stupid. Libs can be so predictable.

What! No assist for her? Isn't that a bit like throwing her under the bus? So typical of the Right as they have their leader to use as an example.

Your thinking is so much like Bundy's. The law says that just because you don't like the electric company, you can go pay your bill at the gas company.

You can fight the constitution but, unless you are loaded with dollars, it's not worth the effort or cost.

You can fight the constitution but, unless you are loaded with dollars, it's not worth the effort or cost. >>> And that is a real problem. That is one of the things that robs us of freedom and one of the all to many reasons we are fighting big government in favor of less government. But the liberals just don't understand that. Freedom is the freedom to create on our own, achieve on our own, become the best we can be within our own physical and mental limitations. Liberalism and their goals are to enslave you and only let you do what they want and order you to do.

Property taxes are applied by the state. Does Kelly Anne not know that a sitting US senator would have nothing to do with the property tax rates of the individual states? If Kelly Ann is to be punished it's because she is so ignorant and not for anything else...

Fake news and fake post. I saw the interview in question and when Kellyanne responded to the inquiry by the host, she simply stated the glaring failings of the dimocrat running for the vacated seat. It was her personal opinion, nothing more nothing less. It simply wasn't an endorsement for any candidate coming from the White House, and anyone with an IQ above the temperature it takes to freeze water knows this. I sincerely wish the libtoids (rhymes with hemorrhoids) would have had this much fervor regarding the Hatch Act when the halfrican was in power.
