Well I personally heard Mr. Trump mention GOD 18, Count em, 18 times in his inaugural address as he made History becoming our PRESIDENT!
Where we're you. Sincerly I can't believe you did not pick up on that!
like everyone else I saw the address, you could not miss it being covered on nearly every channel.
Mentioning God our creator is a whole lot different than believing in Him but no it didn't register.
if he did and no reason to doubt you,he may have been attempting to atone for his misgivings.
by the way Happy Thanksgiving

You guys always talk about the separation of church and state this quote Jefferson made and are totally clueless as to who he made that statement too and it's reason and for the upteen time it is not in the Constitution !
That would be "umpteenth"
time, are you aware what amendments are, referring to the Bill of Rights. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution says that everyone in the United States has the right to practice his or her own religion, or no religion at all.
Our country's founders -- who were of different religious backgrounds themselves -- knew the best way to protect religious liberty was to keep the government out of religion. So they created the First Amendment -- to guarantee the separation of church and state. This fundamental freedom is a major reason why the U.S. has managed to avoid a lot of the religious conflicts that have torn so many other nations apart.
The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits the government from encouraging or promoting ("establishing") religion in any way. That's why we don't have an official religion of the United States.
The Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment gives you the right to worship or not as you choose. The government can't penalize you because of your religious beliefs.

It is all political, and not only with illegals but also with kids. They should be simply sent back after a punishment to discourage the practice of entering illegally, you may not agree with that, but the law and its authority need to be respected.

I don't dismiss or condone any kind of a abuse to women or children,it goes against everything I was taught and believe in.
there are No accidental shootings per se except those you mention.( curious kids).
people shoot people for sometimes no apparent reason at all!
even if there is reason more often than not pulling out a firearm can usually be avoided although in society today it is becoming all to common and common place .so sad really.there is no place for hate or hate crimes in my mind.
police should not have to use deadly force at all unless they are without any doubt in fear for their own lives.
i.e. the other person has a weapon and attempts to use it or reach for it,also a sad state of affairs.as we all know crime begets criminals.

fully aware of the separation between church and state along with amendments to same.
also fully aware of the values the founding fathers based the constitution and rights on.
No,no one has to believe in one thing or another that's true.
what is also true is if you believe in nothing you have nothing to say about anything, just an opinion here.
this conversation ... for lack of a better term is doing very little to address any of the other valid points made in the original post.
just saying

True story.guns and kids do not mix. never have, never will unless responsible parents/ gun owners
get with the program of being responsible. as in the reminder curiosity killed the cat for starters.
I was just eluding to a reply from a post about curious kids and guns
how this wormed in to my post beats me even if it is a valid point.

apparently by putting a number 1 in the post it raised Cain,I don't do sheeple or hide nor do I or can I Hate.
it is a strong word, dislike maybe but hate no! I do not agree with every little thing that gets said be it on a BB,email or faux news. I say what I mean and mean what I say. if that is against your rules then so be it. went wrong? NO
additionally if something is said live and I do not agree with it then I agree to disagree or put another way
Not say/ post anything although as a former moderater of another kind of board( BB) it may be tough but so am I
so far you've all been kind, thank you for that.it might just be better if I did stay away and just lurk viewing other topics.
Happy Holiday and days y'all

Not without an adult. If you have it your kids will get into it, no ifs, ands or buts. I grew up with my grandparents way out in the sticks in NE FL. Respect for firearms was taught as a matter of course.
Dick Cheney, apparently, should not be allowed access to a firearm.
I was in the Salvation Army many years ago with a young fellow who accidently shot his brother in the leg with his brother's pump 22 he didn't know was loaded and ready to go.
He was a felon and his brother knew he had to call 911 so he told him to get outta Dodge.
Unfortunately the bullet cut an artery in his leg and he bled out shortly after his brother left. Very sad.
