There have been "native born Americans citizens" who have wanted to kill all of our presidents, and sadly some have succeeded. Likewise, many have worked to oppose any successes for an opposing president in hopes of success for their party in the next election.

As far as those "who believe socialism/communism a better form of government for America", if by this you mean government such as in the former USSR, or the current PRC, they are few and far between.

And as far as taking marching orders, I only take them from my spouse and my professors, and then I use my charm to convince them that my small efforts have actually met the requirements of their orders.

Unfortunately, those who are Progressives also advocate, knowingly or in ignorance, for socialism/communism. They wear all the trappings of Marxists they just don't like the name. Hence, they call themselves Progressives believing their objectives and agenda are moving society "forward." Insanity is what it is! They always fail for one constant, ever present and same reason. Obama's criminal organization regularly disregarded the constitution; he said it was out of step with modern American requirements. For example, Roe v. Less today, thank my God. But in my life time there has been bible thumper blue laws,
anti-contraceptives and abortion laws.

In my time I remember when abortion from both civil and moral law was considered murder. According to God's law it is a double murder. Those times, if the woman dies, a triple murder. I'm not sure I understand your question. If you mean amending the Constitution, two methods are laid out in the Constitution. If you mean some fundamental redistribution of power, I don't think there is any way, practically and constitutionally.
