This story keeps changing as to the degree of injuries to Senator Paul. And what was the cause ? It sure seems to be open season on Republicans.

That news report had to have been written by an idiot. Someone comes on to your property, breaks six of your ribs, damages your lungs and you hope they will go back to being neighbors? He should be doing some serious jail time for attempted murder. I would be very neighborly, every time I left the house I would be carrying and if the neighbor crossed my property line I would shoot him dead.

I love this quote supposedly from the neighbor's lawyer, “regrettable dispute between two neighbors over a matter that most people would regard as trivial”. I would hate to see what he might consider serious. Imagine for a millionth of a second that Rand Paul was a Black Liberal Senator and the neighbor was a Tea Partyer. I bet the news coverage would be exactly the same.

From all indications so far, the Senator had ear plugs in because of running his mower and was ambushed from behind. I wonder what crime he committed to have earned that ? I suppose a tough guy like you would have used his 6th sense and avoided the tackle, and then thrashed the tar out of the interloper.

Ass kicking's come in many forms . Several of which exclude " Marquess of Queensberry Rules '. Don't cha know !!
If his neighbor has not been placed behind bars by Paul not filing charges then something stinks . Who knows
at this point what fired up the neighbor escalating into this finale . Personally I have never blind sided anyone
but I have been blind sided myself . Rightly done or not I got my ass kicked . It sucked that I could not continue.
Anyway , my brief wording was constructed in an attempt to justify the no charges thingy that usually follows
such possibly unwarranted attacks thus avoiding further scrutiny . We will see . Or not if their is something
to hide .

One thing is certain at this point . The attacker didn't go off without something stewing . Something Paul
had taken part in and most likely does not want investigated for some reason . Just guessing at this point .

Being a tough guy I do not need a sixth sense and would have taken the tackle in stride . Ah hell , wait a minute .
Scratch that . At seventy I would be rolling around on the ground grunting and swearing and reaching for my
pocket 9mm . If I was in the right If I was in the right I would probably file charges if nothing else .

All this to explain my definition of an ass kicking .

I am gathering you are a Democrat and do not like Senator Paul, anyone attacked and injured is a bad thing. I do agree that it is extremely puzzling that the neighbor does not have more serious charges against him. Between two regular citizens this would bring more serious consequences. To attack a US Senator and not have it be a bigger deal means that we are missing an awful lot of information.

You gathered incorrectly . Very incorrectly . I am a displeased former Republican turned Independent who 90% of the time votes for
who ever claims to be conservative . Our system is totally corrupted . Both sides of the isle were in the game to smother the Tea Party
and they succeeded . Such is our system . The system of political elites . No other players allowed . I am not a Tea Party Member but
those Americans deserved to be represented and the a-holes in Washington would not have it . I lost total respect for the bulk of
our ( cough cough ) Representatives at this point. This is where I stand politically

I do not care for Paul but I do not dislike him . He is better that 99% of the Democrats and about the same percentage of the Rhinos .
My dislike list is rather long and my ( do not care for list ) is much shorter and Paul falls on that one .

In the future if you think someone leans one way or the other politically just do a fast review of a few of their prior postings
before getting all nutted up . But hey , I have made the same mistake and was guided in this same direction quite some
time ago.

Once again . We are at this juncture due to my definition of an Ass Kicking . Not a funny example of the term
but my definition none the less.

Politically you and I are almost identical. It was just your comment " He probably earned it or his Buddy next door would
have been locked up by now . " that fooled me. I am angry also at the swampers, but in the absence of facts I would not say someone earned an ass kicking.

I actually am somewhat of a Tea Partyer. I contributed to two different ones. The person I wish to see punished is Lois Lerner, but I am not advocating somebody breaking her ribs.

They say Rand Paul did not know the neighbor was attacking in part because of his ear plugs. Maybe the neighbor only wanted to borrow them, Rand Paul did not react, the neighbor assumed he was being ignored, and one thing lead to another. Perfectly logical.
