And, we are NOT alone. People who "claim" they dont like war,, seem to pick wars,,, I guess most have never been to one, so they think it is ok to start one right across their street,, good luck getting that Genie back in the bottle!!
But like you two,,, I think our services will be required of us soon.
I think I see this thread morphing into something that needs the support of all veterans. I am an old one since I left the Army in 1957 after only three years. Yes, the oath I took is still in effect since nobody told me different in my debriefing that concerned the MOS I had.
Let me say that there are many active duty people getting together to try to have a real effect on coming elections, especially the one this fall. The problem is that so many of the active duty votes manage to not get counted so those of us who are old vets must get involved with the active people. How can we do that unless we vote against Obama and all those who support him? My problem is whether he will declare martial law before the election to stall our actions. i think he will use that method of stopping us but don't know if it will come before he sees what happened in the election of 2014.
There is a thing circulating on the internet about getting together but again, I fear the active duty votes may not get counted as has happened several times since Florida in 2000.
