Leaving race entirely out of it, I have yet to see any definitive, verifiable, inarguable evidence warranting impeachment. If the Representative (or was it Senator?) believes he has grounds, then by all means, he should do what he believes is right. Should the motion pass, we'll get to see the trial unfold.

ISSUE SUMMARY: The IRS has targeted and harassed conservative groups who are Obama's political enemies - including during the 2012 election year. Section 1, Article 2 of the Impeachment Articles of Richard Nixon stated:
"He has through his subordinates and agents endeavored to cause in violation of the constitutional rights of citizens, income tax audits or other income tax investigations to be initiated or conducted in a discriminatory manner."

SSUE SUMMARY: A Free Press is the foundation of representative government. Obama's Justice Department has used its power to seize the personal phone records of Associated Press journalists. This far-reaching 2 month , secret seizure of a major news outlet records a very dangerous precedent. If this goes unchallenged, there is no reason they can't do it again to anyone, at any time and for any reason.

SSUE SUMMARY: As more is coming out about the terrorist attack that killed our Ambassador and 3 others in Libya, it is clear the American public was given false information about the attack. The C.I.A. knew immediately it was an Al-Quada associated, planned attack to mark 9/11, yet the official "talking points" were edited to take any mention of that out and keep that information away from the public during Obama's re-election campaign.

These are just a few of the reasons for impeachment. I recognize that there will never be enough votes in the now (nuclear option) Senate ti actually impeach the Omnipotent ruler, Just as there weren't enough to impeach Clinton. However, Clinton was impeached. Just as Our authoritarian ruler should be today. You obviously have not read the definition of Due Process.

Well, the best news of the week (or even the month) is that someone on Capitol Hill still has a spine.

When Rep. Steve Stockman got up and walked out of the president's State of the Union address on Tuesday night, I rejoiced. Finally, someone has decided that enough is enough!

Stockman apparently couldn't make it through the entire speech without losing his temper. He's mad that President Obama is rewriting the U.S. Constitution, and he has every right to be.

Here's what Stockman had to say:

"Tonight I left early after hearing how the president is further abusing his Constitutional powers. I could not bear to watch as he continued to cross the clearly defined boundaries of the Constitutional separation of powers.

"Even worse, Obama has openly vowed to break his oath of office and begin enacting his own brand of law through executive decree. This is a wholesale violation of his oath of office and a disqualifying offense."

Stockman didn't stop there, either.

He went on to proclaim: "I'm considering filing Articles of Impeachment against Barack Obama."

Now we're talking!

The nation is tired of the Republican leadership's complacency and the "let's all get along" culture that's endemic among politicians. And finally, it appears that someone on the Hill agrees.

Instead of acting like nothing is wrong, Stockman is speaking the frustration of millions of Americans, citizens who are sickened by their selfish, do-nothing leaders who only care about getting re-elected at all costs.

Recent polls show that just 31% of Americans believe that the country is better off now than in 2009, when Obama was sworn in. And a new Rasmussen poll reported that 69% of likely voters believe that the president should work with Congress, while only 27% believe that the president should go around Congress.

A CNN snap poll conducted among State of the Union viewers found similar results: 67% said that they wanted Obama to compromise with Congress, while just 30% said that they preferred for him to act on his own.

Stockman told NPR that "acting unilaterally, without Congress, is not the concept of what our Founding Fathers envisioned. And I had hoped [Obama] would reach across the aisles and - especially in his final years - make a difference."

Meanwhile, the rest of the Republican leadership would be smart to follow Stockman's lead. Impeachment should be on the docket - it's what the American people want. On top of that, the process is long overdue. To recap:

1. Obama's administration has trafficked guns to Mexican drug cartels.
2. Obama's administration ignored calls for help from numerous Americans in Benghazi, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, resulting in their deaths.
3. Obama's administration has unilaterally rewritten bankruptcy laws and stripped investors in GM bonds, including a teacher's pension fund, of property rights.
4. Obama illegally bombed Libya without Congressional authorization.
5. Obama unilaterally rewrote the Affordable Care Act, exempting chosen businesses, unions and Congress from the effects of the law.
6. And now he plans to usurp the powers of Congress and govern by decree. I truly wonder how much more these other Republicans can stomach before they join the calls for impeachment, too.

Your eyes on the Hill,

Floyd Brown

I can't understand what took so long for someone to finally do something regarding this corrupt traitor. Unless they hesitated because they knew if they questioned his "methods" that the Obama's sheeple would begin their chants of "un-American and "racist." As soon as you disagree with B.O.'s "agenda" those cries begin. After all, it couldn't be because he is a complete failure at president!

mjgs;
It is amazing to see how you rally around an idiot like stockman. Also, I can't understand how you people start making a joyful noise to the Koch bros., and that junkie with his head up his rectum, ol' limp dick.
Every time there is the slightest problem with anything, and everything that has any indication that it just might help people that are in need of the help.
Your attempts to kill Obama care, and the money that is being thrown away by issa, and all of you other stupid assed hypocrites, that claim to want the best for the people,
would be just another laughable, and stupid thing that you do.
But this is very serious shit to a lot of people, and this really is not the time for your sick ass attitudes.
If those lying bastards really cared about the people, they would shut off the B/S, and help to make the ACA one of the best products that the people ever got from the government.
Hell,Obama has already completed the hard part, and is paying in a very heavy price for his efforts.
But that is why I like this guy, he knows how to scuffle, and is not the least bit intimidated by anybody, and has hung his ass out for the people that really count.
So instead of sitting around on their dead, lazy asses, pissing, and moaning about what is wrong with the ACA, they should grow a set of nuts, and ignore the Koch bros., the tea baggers, and their real leader rush limp dick, you know who that is, that junkie.
Here is another tidbit for you dead minded pieces of sh**...
I don't give a damn about whether you are prejudice, and a bigot or not, it really does not mean a damned thing to me.
That is your problem, also a problem that you will at sometime sooner or later, have to talk with God about.
But try to prepare yourself for this one question that I believe he will ask you...
Why did you take something that he created to perfection, and turn it into something so vile, and useless? From what I've heard, he will not be happy with what you have brought back to him.
Let's be real about a few things...
Why would republicans pamper, and worship the rich man, or so called job creators?
Because if the rich man really is, what republicans try to con every body into thinking the rich man is, where are the jobs?
If the economy is really as bad as republicans try to con people into thinking it is, is the con really worth making the people suffer, just to make Obama look bad?
So why should the people have to suffer just to put a smile on the rich mans face?
Consider this...
Has the rich man became what republicans accuse those poor unemployed people of being...Lazy, and spoiled?
They won't create jobs, the banks won't lend people money, and nothing is really being produced.
So it is time to stop republicans, and the rich man from pimping the people.
Because the all of that money that has been blessing the rich man, will never be seen inside of the U.S. again.
Because the rich man is doing the same thing with all of that extra money, that they did with our jobs, their sending it to another country, or an island some place. So what good is it doing anybody but the rich man?
That is very pathetic, because they got rich in this country, on the backs of these very same people that they, and the republicans are screwing over right now.
You know the people I'm talking about...
The people that can't even get an unemployment check to help them to survive...
God ain't liking none of this, and the people that are responsible for this injustice, will pay dearly for their heathen like acts.
Excuse the few foul words I used, but we are all adults, I hope, and it really pisses me off to be this mad about something, and not be able to knock the shit out of somebody.
For all of the real people out there, let's break up this injustice to the people, and instead of being like the republicans, let's actually do something that is going to help the people to get back on their feet.
The best place to start, is to stop pampering the rich man, because he has not done a single thing to deserve it.
We only want what they owe, because if we tried to get even one cent more than that, they would be bitching, and crying that they shouldn't have to pay for the poor man by transferring any part of their wealth to the poor.
So they should be made to pay their fair share, with interest.
Because there is no way, that one man should have the power to make a decision to just give our money away, actually it should be illegal, and just might be, to just give our money to whoever he wants to.
Anyway, that should be a plenty to let the unemployed get a check, and maybe kind of help with that debt that republicans are always bitching about.

I would like to emphatically state, for the record. Ibkely does NOT speak for me. His hateful diatribe makes me sad and now I have to think that maybe some of the accusations being made about racism...are true. Would/Could the haters just STFU. That would be helpful.

First off, thank you for the 99.9% respectful, civil response.

IRS targeting: The IRS targeted and reviewed many applications for tax exempt status. All of those pulled for further scrutiny were potential political cases, and as per Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/26/501) would not be permitted tax exempt status if they supported or opposed any given candidate. The only thing that has been shown, is that a disproportionate number of TeaParty, Patriot, etc. groups were singled out for further scrutiny over Progressive, Occupy, and Marijuana groups. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/irs-progressive-groups-flagged-but-tea-party-bigger-target/. There is no public evidence linking the Obama administration with a command to the IRS for this sort of thing to happen. If there are tapes, emails, anything of substance showing that the President directed this targeting they'll show up eventually and then, and only then can we accurately attribute wrongdoing (or do we have to prove innocence and not guilt in this country?).

Media: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/14/us/phone-records-of-journalists-of-the-associated-press-seized-by-us.html?_r=0 The phone records were seized in concert with the goal of the Obama administration to rein in the leaking of national security information using the Espionage Act as backing http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/798. In attempting to discover the leak, whoever it was that had direct oversight clearly overreached. As before, the President has plausible deniability that he was directly involved in the overreach.

Benghazi: It is becoming more clear that, yes, we were led to believe the events were the result of some video. The language used to describe these events was intentional. The interviews that I looked through didn't directly attribute blame to the video, but suggested it could have been a factor, which holds true until you look at Susan Rice. The newer information now shows that there was not a demonstration in response to a video. This doesn't mean that our leaders lied to us. They would have had to have had absolute information indicating a true motive, which given the timing of the statements is unlikely, although the likelihood doesn't mean that malicious intent wasn't possible either. We just don't know yet. It's entirely possible that the administration didn't want to mar their record of no terrorist attacks, and given the concurrency of election season is a probably motivator. Why help was not sent, who knows? There are various explanations ranging from conspiracy theories, to limiting loss of life with a small engagement, to insufficient response time to save anyone. It's still not clear whether Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed directly by the attackers or if he died of smoke inhalation as a result of the attack. http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/stevens.asp Whatever information does come out, if it comes out, won't change the fact that 4 Americans are dead, and Obama couldn't have changed the outcome of it, except maybe by sending more people into harms way and possibly escalate a small confrontation.

Throughout all these points, there is no evidence directly linking Obama to any wrongdoing. If you have the evidence, then by all means, bring it forward so we can get to the truth of the matter.
