The patents were running out. There would have been competition to produce those refrigerants.
That cost American consumers 100's of Billion$.
Those CFC's were cheap, efficient, and non-toxic.
It was all about making money for the insiders again.
Making all in place machinery (car refrigeration, home and industrial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems) "obsolete" by government decree.

Yes you can go throughout times and find cataclysmic changes, but that does not disprove the negative affects WE are creating by fossil fuels, or equate that we should continue on the same exact path,why ignore it? Changes need to be made it is the respectable thing to do. Meaning you don't eat where you shit, even animals know that.
