In case you hadn't seen factual reports, some states insist that an annual income of anything over $2,000.00 is NOT proof of "living below the poverty level." Interestingly enough these are red states and these families are not eligible for assistance. These poor people are economically unable to get the hell out of those states.
Alicia,
Please tell the WHOLE story, these people aren't starving in the"red" states, there are multiple charities, and even food banks available, something other than the basic Government handout that ENABLES some people to just sit and not try to help themselves.
Government handouts are not the solution to our problems, a good many "Benefits" are the problem, with their poor assessment of "need" (in order to buy votes) and the unintended consequences they produce. The assessment of "need" should be done on the local level where it can be done more realistically.
Jobs are the solution, let able bodied persons have the dignity and pride of being responsible for themselves. This admin and its policies are killing the economy and the jobs market with its increasing taxes needed to support the increase of persons dependency on the Federal government. (A downward spiral with no end in sight unless policies change with the next election)
I know you don't really think there is a solution except more "benefits" so I know I am wasting my time. Good luck with where you are going with this government expansion.

An "ANNUAL income of over $2,000"? Did you conjure that up all by your little lonesome? hahahahaha

They would not do that because they know there is nothing there. The Democrats have already run everyone from the bottom.

By now everyone knows if we took your brains and put them in a thimble they would roll around like a walnut in a boxcar. If it wasn't for DNC talking points you could not post at all.
