Can anyone tell when congress has ever "fixed" anything in this country? Just once?

Government has no business messing around with healthcare. It is not one of the powers granted by our Constitution. Therefore, it belongs to the States. Obamacare, as well as any other government healthcare program, is unconstitutional.

Tell that to the 50 MILLION elderly and disabled that receive their health CARE through Medicare. Tell that to the 75 MILLION poor and their children that receive their health CARE through Medicaid and CHIPS, which, without the help of federal funding would not exist. The federal government (taxpayers) already funds over 65% ( of total health CARE spending in the US when VA health CARE spending is included. Here's the kicker, the federal government under the ACA SUBSIDIZES private, for profit health INSURANCE nearly $300 BILLION annually in tax money. While the private, for profit health INSURANCE collects high...ridiculously high...premiums from health taxpayers and profit $500 BILLION annually from not having to pay or denying claims, in addition, they spend BILLIONS of that premium money on multi-million dollar executive pay and bonuses, BILLIONS on propaganda...er...advertising campaigns telling the sheople how necessary and vital they are, and BILLIONS (20-25) on administrative overhead.

The definition of bombastic is--marked by or given to speech or writing that is given exaggerated importance by artificial or empty means. You fit your avatar to a T.

Proving you and those against single payer Medicare for All can't see that cutting out the high premiums of middleman (INSURANCE) and raising Medicare taxes would save 95% of taxpayers and businesses money. Medicare is a program that works VERY well with 4-5% overhead, no high executive pay, no advertising, and no profits and would bring down the high costs in medical CARE.

No, but unfortunately we have only ourselves to blame for this mess. We fell asleep at the wheel and allowed these criminals we call politicians do this. They have not done their jobs for years and years, yet many of them keep getting voted in time after time. The liberals have been smart and pushed their morals killing agenda slowly so we would swallow it hook line and sinker, and we did. Once God was removed by them twisting the true intent of seperation of church and state, and we bought it, we were doomed

They can't work together if they have different objectives.

Conservatives want free markets
Progressives want government control
Most of both parties want to get re-elected

Our publicly paid for Congressmen who are set for life are deathly afraid of dropping this political football.
I believe everyone on the left and about a third of those on the right are more than willing for Onumbnuts
Care to implode forcing single payer . Once the government has total control over our way of life , what we
have known for hundreds of years will cease to exist . Cradle to grave controls will be set in place .
Welcome to the Socialist States of America folks . From USA to SSA .

Our Republic is very near dead .

They're not helping Republicans to get rid of Obamacare, they're going to help the Republicans to try and do whatever it takes to make Obamacare work, and if they can't do that, then they're going to help the Republicans pass a new healthcare law, but only if it is a "Single Payer" system, and all of this is exactly what the Democrats wanted in the first place, and what most of the American people didn't want.

How did the Democrats achieve what they wanted? Because the Republicans are 'STUPID', for the Republicans only promised to repeal Obamacare if the people would elect them to the US Congress, but the Democrats said to them, "What are you going to replace it with if you repeal Obamacre, because that will make millions of people have no healthcare insurance, is that what you Republicans want, millions of Americans with no healthcare insurance?", and the stupid Republicans said no, before we repeal Obamacare we'll replace it with our own healthcare plan, that will be affordable, and all Americans will want it without the need of a mandate to force them to buy it.

Then the Democrats knew thay had accomplished exactly what they wanted with that Republican proclamation, to make sure that Obamacare would never be repealed, because they knew the Republicans could never agree on a healthcare plan. How did they know that? Because the Democrats couldn't agree on one either. That's why Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid wouldn't allow anyone to read what was in Obamacare before they were required to vote on it.

How stupid is it to vote for something that you're not allowed to know what is in it? But every single Democrat in the US Congress voted for it, while every single Republican wouldn't. Does that even give you a hint about the intelligence of the people that we have sent, by our votes in national elections, to our US Congress? Does this not explain why Obamacare has been a complete failure, because hardly anyone from the middleclass and poor can afford it, even with the government stipend to help pay for it, and if they can afford to purchase it, they then cannot afford to use it, because the copays and deductibles are so enormously high and very expensive?

If Obamacare is just supplying you with medicines, then it's a dream come true, but for anything else it's a nightmare, and completely unaffordable. Does anyone see how oxymoronic and the irony that the 'Affordable Care Act' (Obamacare) is so completely unaffordable?

I guess you missed that post someone made about an alternative to Obamacare. 50 dollars a month will get you basic health care. A little extra will cover emergency services. I forget the name of it, but it works. And the guberment has nothing to do with it. Imagine that.

proud republican: How can Republicans trust democrats! When this is what really happened with ACA!

Passed by Congress...?? Actually it did not receive a single 'R' vote in either house... so dingy harry (reid) broke Senate rules and put the bill into a conference committee where the dims needed only a simple majority to pass it, and pass it they did--without a single Republican vote. First time in history a major piece of legislation (20% of our economy) was crammed through without bi-partisan support. Additionaly... the public was then, and still is, overwhelmingly against ObozoCare. Can we trust the bastards.....under no circumstance !

A physician out of Kansas City is doing this. The cost is $10/child, $50/adult a month with unlimited care, including office procedures. 95 percent
Off all medications, X-rays, etc. It's called concierge care. The individual has 24/7 access to his physician, even has the doctor's cell phone number! I don't understand why we're not doing this across the country!

Ronald, they all need to be thrown out. The problem is, unless you take the corporate money, corporate lobbying and flat bribery out of politics, a totally new flock of political birds would be corrupt in ONE election cycle.
