How about just reprealing it, for that is what was promised for them to get elected, not having to replace it also. These idiots were suckered into saying they would replace it by the Democrats, who told them, "If you're going to repeal it, what have you got to replace it with for the millions that now have healthcare insurance because of Obamacare," and they fell for that line, given by the Democrats who knew how hard it would be to get all Republicans to agree on a healthcare plan, because when all the Democrats wanted one, they still had to bribe many of their people to get one passed.

Repeal it, and let the people that want them, get their own healthcare policies through the market place, as they had always done before Obamacare was perpetrated against them. But pass laws that would help keep the price down, like allowing healthcare to be sold across state lines, and limiting awards in court cases. Then the people could negotiate with the healthcare companies in order to get what they want and can afford, because the healthcare companies need to sell their product and will negotiate with the people, and compete with other healthcare companies to get as many customers as they can, lowering the prices to where they are affordable for everyone, and the people can get just what they want and need, not what they would be forced to accept, as Obamacare did to them, and drove up costs because of it's mandates.

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame,
two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress.

Giving money and power to
government is like giving whiskey
and car keys to teenage boys.

The sad part is we have very bad memory's and keep putting the A holes back in.

According to the Democrats, they are the same, just listen to them.

Obamacare is access to what was promised as affordable healthcare insurance from a private supplier, and if you liked your own healthcare insurance policy, you could keep it. But for those deemed to poor to afford the healthcare insurance, even with the federal government stipend, they are given free access to medicaid, a public supplier, which is the governments of state and federal together paying for your healthcare, which is access to healthcare without having to pay for it by making healthcare insurance payments.

The problem with Obamacare health insurance is that you don't have a choice to buy only what you want and/or need, but have to buy what the government requires you to buy in healthcare insurance, covering what you don't need or want, such as maternity insurance for unmarried men, and also for people beyond the child-bearing age.

The government needs to quit telling the people what to do, and allow the people to make their own choices, which is what is called your Creator's unalienable endowed Right of your 'Pursuit of Happiness', where you get to choose what is best for you, whether it truly be or not, instead of some bureacratic elitist deciding for you what is best for you, then forcing you to accept their choice, instead of allowing you to make your own choice.

I think is was back in 2012 when the mandate kicked in, I went on the healthcare.gov website that people were having so much trouble with and breezed right through the process, no problems. I was not poor enough to qualify for a subsidy, am single and the ONLY plans offered me were BCBS Bronze or Silver plan. The Silver plan's monthly premiums were $378.98 with a $6,000.00 deductible and only paid 60% after the deductible was met. What kind of fucked up rip off is that? Do the math. Say If I had the no good shit for 2 years I would have paid $9,000.00 in premiums. Then I suddenly had a $30,000.00 medical bill, emergency or illness, whatever. I still would have had to pay the $6,000.00 deductible, $9,000.00 in premiums I had paid and then the sorry shit would have only paid $14,000.00 of the $24,000.00 left after the $6,000.00 deductible. So, I would have been out $25,000.00 to get $14,000.00 payment for health CARE from private, for profit a health INSURANCE corporation. the Bronze plan would have been worse! You tell me.....

Health INSURANCE and health CARE are not the same thing. Many, many middle class and working poor people forego health CARE because they cannot afford what health INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY and the high deductibles.

Medicare for ALL would solve that problem instantly and save 95% of taxpayers money. Only the the rich would be required to chip in a little more. Health INSURANCE is a profit extracting ripoff. I say eliminate the $500 BILLION they extract in profits annually, increase Medicare tax on wages to, say, 5%, on gross incomes below $150,000 and 7.5% on incomes above that, tax annual stock increases, investment and interest incomes and capital gains the same 7.5% and combine the Medicaid and VA budgets into a Medicare for All. And, YES it would be affordable. Doctors would still be in private practices, that is those that have not gone to work in hospitals for salaries as hospitalist because of the overhead of dealing with 150 different private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations and hospitals would still be privately owned. Medicare for Alll would be no more socialistic than the current Medicare system for the elderly and disabled. It would NOT BE FREE except for the very poor that get it free now.

Out of 11 so-called wealthy nations, the US is the ONLY one that does not have single payer, universal health CARE. The others that do did not go to single payer because it was going to cost more, nor are any of them considering do away with their health CARE systems. Health CARE is a right!

So, most "working people", over the past 30 years, had "group health insurance" as a benefit, through their employer.....right? The "free enterprise system"; more commonly known as capitalism was working just fine.

I paid ZERO per month for health insurance.....for my ENTIRE family. A doctor visit (to my chosen doctor) usually cost a co-pay of maybe $15. Same with my dentist. Six-month dental checkups cost zero. Of course, none of the cost was actually "nothing", it was a part of my wages. A major medical event might cost a few hundred dollars....after all, a box of tissues might not be included at $60 per box.

Thus, out-of-pocket = $400 for the whole family after 2 years. This includes deductibles for drug coverage. A catastrophic illness might increase the total to maybe $1000 total.

Tell me again how, having the federal government in the health insurance business, is a better system!!!!!! The argument that "other industrialized [wealthy?]nations have single payer insurance", doesn't mean anything......there is a whole world out there which has maybe more/maybe less, than what we have here in the U.S.

We haven't been "doing socialism". (Sure, we have plenty of socialism. Ex: social security.) How's that working in those countries? I'll stay here. Clearly, the ACA didn't work; don't fix it; throw it out!

Insurance, of any kind, is a privilege; just like any other property or possession. In THIS society, one works to own something. Under, socialism/communism, individuals own nothing...including insurance.

Any questions?

Not the self employed nor ALL employed had that privilege. Yea, health INSURANCE IS a privilege, health CARE should be a right.

Ask any person over 65 how they like their Medicare along with its low premiums. How much were the premiums your employer paid? How much more would your take home "wages" have been had you not had health INSURANCE as part of your "wages" and instead paid 5-7% of your income in Medicare premiums? How tied down did that make you to your job, or your unhappy wife tied to your ass for her sake and the kids sake of having health INSURANCE?

I was self employed, as many are. No one pays for our health INSURANCE or even part of it. I would have gladly paid 3-4% more of my income to have been covered with a Medicare for All health CARE system. Even though at 64 and retired for 2 years, I have NEVER had a major health issue. With 3 boys it was nice to have a brother that was a doctor to sew them up or set their broken bones through the years. But they are all grown and out on their own now. I have been single since January 2010. My wife died a horrible year long suffering from lung cancer that had spread to her brain. No amount of health INSURANCE (we had health INSURANCE through her employment at that time). Over $500,000 in medical expenses. The last attempt to save her was a gamma knife procedure (radiation) on her tumor riddled brain, as chemo does not work on the brain, costs over $100,000 at a hospital in Dallas. ONE 30 minute consultation explaining the 2 hour procedure with a young doctor the day before was $34,000. Never saw him after that. Was out over $25,000 of our money plus travel expenses daily for 6 weeks to a town 80 miles away and then weekly for radiation and chemo. I can't remember for how long. The 2 chemo drugs they gave her were $8,000.00 a dose. 3 days in intensive care on life support with no hope of recovering (brain dead). Lucky I had my doctor brother and her cancer doctor by my side to tell me that it was OK to take her off everything and let her go. Health INSURANCE and health CARE are not the same thing!

Like war, health INSURANCE is a racket. Private, for profit health INSURANCE is what drives up the cost of health CARE. They want it expensive so people will have ot buy their sorry product and then hope they are not able to afford to use it.

The problem with repeal, is with the 51 votes they can only repeal the funding. The Obamacare rules would require a full 60 votes. The other thing is there are 8 million people that chose to pay the fine instead of buying the insurance. News never reports that and the CBO does not either when they say how many people would lose insurance.
