And why does being "so bad" mean we can lie about someone? When people are bad wouldn't the truth reflect as poorly as anything that could be made up--much like is happening to Donald Trump now?

The ONLY attempts you've witnessed is from the left, that in itself is not believable. You folks work in packs and the left usually one against the entire group.

To the person defending Morgan from the guy she called "magilla". I'm newer to OPP, and forgot to hit the "quote reply" button, so she curtly told me to do so. Then she responded to another comment I had made with the above. If you look back at the few posts I have made, I don't insult or name call, but try to stay on topic and engage in civilized discourse and debate. I am certainly not part of any "pack", as I don't regularly converse with or know anyone here. I started looking at this chat because I thought it would be interesting. Maybe she's having a bad day? Oh and p.s. to be fair to the "pack" comment, I'm almost certain there are no busloads of conservatives being brought in to participate in this chat🙄🙄

I don't remember Fox giving blatantly false news, although it was a bit biased. But CNN is now involved in utter lies and attempts to maliciously hurt the president of the USA. That is not a free press option, if you ask me. They should just admit that they are not press but alternative/fake news. Entertainment.

They have also said that they must throw off any facade about being an unbiased news agency, anyway.

There are 9 more pages but I think you get the drift. Fox news feeds their Opinion section and while the news portion my be mostly true the opinion sections is largely false. All cable news plays to their respective audiences so all are biased and tell their listeners what they want to hear. You may not hear the bias but that's only because you agree with what's being said. As soon as someone comes in slamming Trump though and your ears perk up and suddenly Fox becomes just like all the rest...

Everything Americans make does not belong to Caesar. But I'm sure you knew that before you implied otherwise.

I already knew that a small fraction of welfare actually works to help people. That was the original intent, before Liberal/Progressives re-vamped it into vote-purchasing. If you are being honest and truly got out of the tar-pit of welfare, then I'm happy for you. If you still vote Democrat after discovery of how anti-business and pro-dependency they are, well then you have my sympathy.

I love it when people are prosperous. Even when they truly want to be prosperous and achieve self-respect. In an America where everyone that is able to work supports himself/herself, the liberals would be so outnumbered that we'd be talking about better things than politics.

Peter; you have never disappointed when it come to Leftist comedy ... I'll give you that. You could give Amy Schumer a run for her money.

Your extremely convoluted thought process if one can call it that goes right to Obama's most egregious slap in the face of American exceptionalism - 'you didn't build that; somebody else made that happen' ... "The more taxes welfare queens such as myself pay the less the tax burden for others like you will be" ... How, even in your twisted cesspool of a mind does this begin to equate with today's reality??? Please, by all means explain this wonderful magic to the people of Illinois, Detroit or Baltimore or any of the historic Democrat strongholds now in ruin and decay and those crumbling as we speak. No, in fact, please explain it to us ...

I will admit though I have no choice but to agree with you that there are few things in this life that you and those of your ilk cannot do so long as there is a Government Collective and an ignorant, Proletariat to support it. Examining that ignorant element more closely; Jefferson said that a free press and people who can READ it are essential to freedom (paraphrased); why he was such a strong proponent of education for all. The operative word is READ, meaning for comprehension. Today the United States is something like 20th in the world in reading skills (thank you Jimmy Carter) providing an ever increasing pool of willing, moronic victims on which our 'Free Press' feeds.

Hey, but like I said Peety; you're a funny guy ...

Magilla here ...

It is important to understand that the very act of disagreeing with these people is an insult. To come at them aggressively is tantamount to assault with a deadly weapon. What we see here on some small scale is essentially the collectivist mindset we are fighting in the big picture to preserve constitutional America. There are indeed no 'packs' of conservatives to be seen. There are individuals ... important distinction ... individuals who think for themselves. And importantly, if one takes the time to notice, these individuals do not necessarily agree with one another along any lines. They are however capable when it comes to establishing a point of argument, on topic, and defending it ... as individuals.

Every day is a bad day for the Morgans of the world ... because we exist. Collectivists are emotionally unstable, vulnerable and therefore feel 'attacked' when challenged. When aggressive argument and debate contrary to Leftist Ideology is outlawed; when the Fairness Doctrine can choke the life out of individual expression on the airwaves; when the 1st amendment is weaponized against open expression, only then will the Leftist be placated; but happy? Never.

As for the topic at hand, it's loaded with fodder for good argument. But it seems it was posted not to induce exchange so much as to provide a point of focus for Leftist president bashing. Not unusual.

Hope you stay in the fray, whatever your point of view.
